As far as weight is concerned, Raymond Gutierrez had long accepted that between him and his twin brother Richard, he was the “fat kid.”
“I’ve known for a long time naman na I was overweight. “Gising naman ako sa katotohanan, ‘di ba? Hindi naman ako nagfi-feeling payat. Alam ko naman na mataba ako.”
But after three months of extensive diet and workout, Raymond had already lost 30-40lbs. He’s been very thankful for the help of his close friends including Georgina Wilson for being his “weight-loss buddy,”
Raymond related, “Ako, iyong barkada ko talaga iyong naging support group ko.
“Parang hindi na nga kami nagha-hang out so much sa mga bars.
“Now ang hangout namin, sa gym or sa clinic. Doon na kami nagkikita-kita.”
Meanwhile on Twitter-verse , close friends and followers were given nothing but praises to Raymond for achieving and being their inspiration.

Fashion designer Rajo Laurel said, “Really so proud of Mond for winning the battle of the bulge! I know how hard it is to lose the weight! Your an inspiration!”
Stylist Liz Uy posted, “Imma cry @mondgutierrez I’m such a proud mama!!! Happy new you!!! ♥ 40 lbs. off!!! Oh my gosh!!!”
Actress Anne Curtis tweeted, “Congratulations Mond!! Continue to inspire otheres!!! Love you!!!”
Professional make-up artist Joyce Platon posted a photo of Raymond’s billboard for Sexy Solutions – his latest endorsement – along with the message, “Lookee what I saw in EDSA? @mondgutierrez is the ultimate THINspiration for everyone! Congrats dear! Xxo”
Aired last January 21, on Unang Hirit Raymond said that he feels “like I have my old self back” now that he’s gotten thinner.
“That’s the best birthday gift that I got this year. Iba ‘pag payat ka, eh, iba. When you feel healthier, you feel fit, parang mas madali ‘yung buhay. Mas magaan,”
The report noted that Raymond did not undergo liposuction nor any invasive procedure for that matter, as confirmed on his Twitter account. The “Showbiz Central” host reportedly only followed a diet and workout regime under close supervision of Doctor to the Stars Vicki Belo and daughter Cristalle Henares.
