Maria Teresa Muñoz—popularly known by her screen name Tita Muñoz—passed away last Saturday, April 11.
Tita started her career in radio when she joined DZPI as an announcer in the ’50s. She then ventured into modeling before trying her luck in show business. Her first movie was Rosalinda.
Though reluctant at first to pursue an acting career, Tita—who confessed having difficulty in speaking fluent Tagalog—moved to the more established Sampaguita Pictures where she portrayed mostly character roles.
