Derek Arnold Ramsay is an actor, host, and commercial model in the Philippines. He started his showbusiness career as one of the hosts of the Saturday entertainment magazine talk show Entertainment Konek. A former VJ of MTV Philippines, he also hosted a celebrity dance program U Can Dance together with co-host Iya Villsns for two seasons. Playing the supporting characters of Kahimu in Ang Panday and Machete in Super Inggo, Ramsay got his first lead role as chef Mito Valenzuela in Ysabella.
No doubt Derek is one of the busiest man in showbiz, knowing that he is a sport lover, one is football. As a matter of fact Angelica and Derek has a seet plan to go for grand vacation and watch the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa. Derek said “We’re planning to stay there for more than a month. And we’re planning to work there also. Ayaw naming magdala ng masyadong maraming pera. Gusto namin magtrabaho dun para yung kikitain namin ang gagastusin namin dun. Even though both Derek and Angelica can afford to spend expensive accomodations in Africa Derek and Angelica wants to work and earn money to supply their needs. Derek wants Angelica(his girlfriend) to experience the life Derek had before, he wants Angelica to taste the beauty of life, going to other country and work there.
Derek added it wolud be the first of Angelica to watch the World Cup Live! and experience skydiving and swimming with great white sharks.
Derek is working hard these days in order for him to take a leave for the vacation in Africa.
