“She is one of the most talented young people we’ve ever had on ‘The Oprah Show.’ We first met her two years ago, a gifted little girl from half way around the world,” Winfrey said.
After looking back at Charice’s life, Oprah welcomed the teen singer on the stage.
Below was the conversation between Charice and Oprah at “The Oprah Winfrey Show.”
Oprah: Can you believe it’s only been two years ago.
Charice: I can’t believe this, it’s amazing.
Oprah: Now you have your first album?
Charice: I’m really, really excited because this is actually my first ever Pop-RnB album because I’d been singing you know Whitney Houston’s songs and Celine Dion’s songs, and now, I can’t believe that these are my own songs, I’m really happy.
Oprah: Does it feel like it’s a dream come true for you?
Charice: It is. I didn’t expect all of these, that all of these are gonna happened to me. All these are happening to me because a lot of people actually helped me and you are one of them. Thank you so much.
Oprah: You’ve worked a lot with the legendary songwriter and producer David Foster. What kind of advise has he been giving you?
Charice: I’ve learned a lot from Mr. David and we are working a lot, but the best thing that he always tells me is that it has to be great.
Foster, who was also there to accompany Charice, turned emotional as he bared that Charice asked him to be her godfather.
The show also showed Charice’s home which she bought for her mother Raquel.
Charice then performed her hit single “Pyramid” with Iyaz and ”In This Song” with Foster.
