Public reacts about Georgina Wilson’s controversial “Paris” tweet

The celebrity-model Georgina Wilson got various reactions for her controversial tweet about Paris Hilton’s rumored courtesy call to President Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III.

It was August 14 when Georgina posted in her twitter account the following statement: “why is PNOY taking time out of his “busy” schedule to meet with Paris Hilton tomorrow. So shameful that he doesn’t have better things to do.”

The said tweet was followed by numerous reactions from Filipino Twitter users.

“Don’t be such a hater, Georgina Wilson! Paris Hilton is waaaaaay better than youuuu,” posted by Charlene Dacara.

“The only reason why Georgina Wilson has strong opinions re Paris is because she doesn’t have the opportunity to meet her,” posted by Madox Llaguno.

Moreover, a PEPster named “jjjjjjjjjj” also shared his sentiments regarding this issue, “dapat magpatingin si georgina wilson sa doctor apectado sya masyado ng pag dadting ni paris hilton sa bansa.,,ang laki ng problema ng georgina na yan.”

However, despite the bad reactions she had received, the TV host-VJ explained her side hours after her controversial tweet. In her twitter account she posted, “I dnt mean to offend anyone or be negative I jst think that Paris Hilton isnt important enough for a president to meet up with.night guys :) .”

Yesterday, August 15, Georgina posted another positive Twitter message saying, “morning everyone! :) glad my tweet yesterday evoked such strong feelings, both positive and negative. means we have opinions and we care :)

Also, the Deputy Presidential Spokeperson Abigail Valte released a statement about Paris’ rumored courtesy call to the president.

“Sa amin pong pagkakaalam, wala po. Wala pong naibibigay na advice sa amin. However, we are coordinating with the President’s private office kung sakali pong mayroon talagang courtesy call,” Valte said in a dzRB interview last Monday.

On the other hand, Paris Hilton stays in the country for five days and she is in communication with a local real estate company regarding about the company’s property design.
