The Miss Universe 2011 candidates still have a never-ending preparations for the coronation night which happens today (Tuesday morning-Manila time) at the Credicard Hall, Sao Paulo, Brazil. Each candidates had long hours of practice memorizing production numbers to make their every move in perfect timing.
Yet even with the hectic schedule, each had a final meet and greet with their family and friends a day before the pageant’s coronation night. The 89 candidates have also become a bit close in almost a month of being together in Brazil.
The 60th Miss Universe starts with a colorful opening number. After which, the announcement of the top 15 semi-finalists immediately follows. Whoever has the highest number of votes on online poll will be the 16th semi-finalist. As of yesterday, Miss Philippines top the online votes according to online polls.
Bb. Pilipinas-Universe Shamcey Supsup‘s vibrance is still in her and she is still relaxed even though there’s a huge pressure on her to win the prestigious ‘Miss Universe 2011’ title.
“I feel relaxed, I’m calm, I feel peace because I’ve done everything I can,” she said during an interview with ABS-CBN.
Last year’s Miss Universe Ximena Navarette will hand on the crown on to the final night of the beauty pageant. This year’s Miss Universe will fly to New York.
The pageant’s hosts are Andy Cohen and NBC’s Natalie Morales, along with Jeannie Mai and 2004 Miss USA, Shandi Finnessy.
Together with Lea Salonga in the judge’s line-up are Helios Castroneves, Connie Chung, Isabeli Fontana, Vivica Fox, Adrienne Maloof and Amelia Vega.
Over a billion viewers are expected to watch the Miss Universe beauty pageant. A live coverage will be aired on ABS-CBN this morning, 9:30 AM with an exclusive double primetime telecast on Velvet Channel at 7 PM and 10 PM
