As the issue between the Kapuso actress Carla Abellana being banned by Mother Lily Monteverde in promoting her another movie with the Laguna governor E.R. Ejercito in MMFF entry “Manila Kingpin: The Asiong Salonga Story” is now finally over. That’s right! As they say, All’s well that ends well.
“Okay na. I talked to Mother (Lily) twice already,” Laguna Governor E.R Ejercito said at the red carpet premiere of the movie at SM Manila Cinema 1 last Dec. 17. “Pumapayag na siyang mag-promote si Carla (ng film). Dapat nandito siya ngayon. May taping lang siya.”
He also explained, “Sabi ng manager ni Carla na may option siyang gumawa (ng pelikula) sa labas. Kaya akala ko, okay na lahat. ‘Yun pala may miscommunication between Arnold Vegafria, Carla’s manager and Mother Lily.”
Earliler, Roselle Monteverde, Mother Lily’s daughter shed light on the matter through a text message. It read, “No it’s not true that we’re not allowing her. It’s her manager. He opted to have Carla promote “Yesterday Today Tomorrow.” Well it’s too much drama for the movie entries as well as the actors and actresses as the Metro Manila Film Festival is nearly coming that we’ve all been waiting for.
