It was a dream-come-true for Diana Zubiri to finally become a Kapamilya after she signed a contract with ABS-CBN recently.
Diana said that when she was only 15 years old, she had joined auditions for Star Magic Star Circle from batch 6 to 10.
“After that 15 years and long journey, andito na po ako,” Diana said on The Buzz last Sunday.
Diana has been a talent of GMA 7 for many years. She decided to give up showbiz and marry on 2008. But it wasn’t for long when her husband died after two years because of liver cirrhosis. They were already married before she knew about the condition of her husband.
She said that her husband is ready for what will happen.
“Ayaw niyang makita ako na nasasaktan. At that time nung alam niya na papunta na siya sa ganon ang sabi ko naman ako ngayon parang di ko alam kung paano ko ‘yan tatanggapin kung dumating pa sa point na wala na siya,” the actress said.
Diana added that there came the time that she cannot take it anymore and she broke down when saw her husband’s situation at the hospital. She thought that it only happen in the movies.
But now she only thinks about the happy memories they had together.
“Ngayon pag naaala ko na siya nagiging masaya naman ako kasi ‘yung memories na pinagsamahan namin sobrang saya, walang maitapon. Maganda ang pag-alala ko sa kanya,”.
She also went back to school and now on her third year college, taking up Theater Arts.
“Noong nag-artista ako ‘yun ang dapat nagko-college ako. Ngayon lang ako nabigyan ng opportunity na mag-college na masaya. So ngayon ko siya pinupursige kasi andito na po ako.”
According to Diana, she gives priority to her studies for now and it’s a great thing when people approach her to say that they are impressed on her coming back to school.
A few of her upcoming projects on ABS-CBN are her Maalaala Mo Kaya episode and a new teleserye with Gerald Anderson and Cristine Reyes.
