Billy Crawford won two trophies from the 26th PMPC Star Awards For Television that happened last Sunday, November 18 at Henry Lee Irwin Theater of Ateneo De Manila University.
Billy was awarded as Best Male TV Host for ASAP 2012 and Best Talent Search Program Host for Pilipinas Got Talent.
This is the second year of Billy and Luis winning the said award.
“Kasalanan ni Luis ‘yon!” Billy said with a laugh after the awards night.
“Pero it’s an honor na laging kami ang nananalo sa category na ‘yon. Kumbaga, mas nai-inspire pa kami to do our job.”
How does it feel that he won two awards in Star Awards for TV this year?
“It feels great!” He said.
“It feels like a blessing na nandito pa rin ako, nagtatrabaho pa rin ako.”
“It feels like I can still learn—iyon ang pinakaimportante.”
“Actually, kahit yung na-invite lang ako dito sa Star Awards, okey na ako. E, yun pa kayang maging isa sa nominees?”
“Feeling ko, kung manalo ako ng isang award, bonus na iyon sa akin. “
“Tapos nanalo ako ng dalawang award, mas grabeng bonus na iyon!”
SINGING CAREER. Billy is much more in line to hosting now. How is his singing career which he was known as international artist?
“Okey naman. Still singing, still performing. I’ll be going back to France maybe by next year.”
Does he have new album?
“Oo, tapos na yung album. Pero doon muna sa France lalabas kesa dito.”
What is the theme of the songs in his new album?
“Just in general about having fun, love, and life.”
FIVE YEARS. How is he and his girlfriend Nikki Gil going?
“Kami pa rin!” He said with a laugh.
“Magpa-five years na kami.”
What is the secret to their relationship getting so long?
“Siguro just by being honest and by being real with each other.”
“Hindi kami nagsasawa sa isa’t isa.”
“And you have to really grow with the person you’re with. “
“Uhm… siguro ang isa pang sikreto sa amin is we put God at the center of pur relationship.”
“We are definitely happy.”
“Of course, lahat naman ng relationship may pinagdadaanan, pero you can always overcome it.”
Do they talk about marriage?
“Hindi pa naman. Matagal-tagal pa ‘yon… oo.”
How many more years does he think will it take till they decide to settle down?
“I’m not sure. Only God can really tell,” Billy said with a smile.
