Could Sisterakas be the new “highest-grossing Filipino movie of all time”?
According to the latest post of Kris Aquino on Twitter this day, January 3, the revenue of their movie has reached to “P265,765,433.26″ as of January 2.
Kris is with Vice Ganda and Ai-Ai delas Alas in the movie.
Meanwhile, there’s an unofficial report that the earnings of the Star Cinema/Viva Films movie entry has closed to P239,246,804 in the 38th Metro Manila Film Festival last January 1.
Based with the tweet of Kris, one of the lead cast and producer of Sisterakas, there’s a possibility that it may overpass the comedy film, The Unkabogable Praybeyt Benjamin (2011).
The box-office return has reached to P200M of Praybeyt Benjamin starring Vice Ganda on the eighth screening of it in the movie house.
Within 20 days of screening, the movie earnings reached to P320M which co-produced by Star Cinema and Viva Films.
Because of this, Praybeyt Benjamin holds the record today as the “highest-grossing Filipino movie of all time.”
Like Praybeyt Benjamin, Vice is one of the actors and Wenn Deramas as the Director of Sisterakas.
Here are the latest unofficial box-office results for other participants in the 2012 movie MMFF:
