President Noynoy Aquino has finally admitted current status with Korean-Filipino TV Personality Grace Lee. “We are actually seing each other,” said the PNoy. The President, however, did not divulge further details on their relationship because it is one of his rights as a President.
The two had been linked since Mo Twister’s January 26, 2012 statement over social networking site Twitter saying “We are talking about Grace Lee’s date last night with President Aquino. #itsmorefuninthephilippines.”
The day after, an article came out at the cover of Philippine Star stating that Grace Lee is “reportedly been telling her colleagues that Aquino, a 51-year-old bachelor, is her textmate, and that the President tries to visit her if he has time.”
This has been denied by Grace thru her twitter account:
“@PhilstarNews I never said we dated. Nor did I say we are text mates. Nor that he comes to visit me.”
“@PhilstarNews and I don’t speak cebuano!!”
“@PhilstarNews one more thing, I’m 29, not 28… How can you guys publish an article on the front page with so much wrong information?”
Grace also released a statement in Balitanghali, GMA News Chanel 11’s news program where Grace Lee is one of the anchors.
In her statement, she said, “Wag po muna kayong maniwala sa lahat ng nababasa ninyo. Lalo na ‘pag ang article na ‘yon ay sinasabi na si Grace Lee ang nagsabi or according to her. Wala pa akong nire-release na statement and I have never spoken of him [PNoy] publicly yet.”
Grace said that she respect the President and his privacy and leaves it on him to answer the issue (which PNoy actually did in his ABS-CBN News interview.)
