It’s A Baby Girl For Katrina Halili

It’s going to be a baby girl for sweethearts Katrina Halili and Kris Lawrence.

In the official Twitter account of Kris Lawrence last Friday, he mentioned that he was super happy to share that he and Katrina are expecting a baby girl.

“Guess what guys??…. IT’S A GIRL!” Lawrence tweeted.

Kris mentioned in an interview last Sunday that they found out the good news on Thursday and even showed a photo on his mobile.

“Three days ago nalaman namin. Super overwhelming ang feeling. So now the emotions are really starting to really overcome us na, my God, nandiyan na it really develops. Sobrang excited kami, parang tumigil ang mundo when we saw the hand. Tapos nakita ‘yung gender so we know it’s gonna be girl,” he said.

While on the other hand, in Katrina’s official Twitter account, she said that she underwent 4D ultrasound to clearly see their baby girl.

“Excited ako, kaya nagpa-4D ako gusto kong makita talaga. Ang cute. Meron talaga, sobrang na-amazed ako. Kulet n’ya,” Katrina told her followers.

She also imparted that that she might name her baby girl “Kristina.”

“Baka Kristina, ‘di pa sure. Tentative. But I like it! Thank you sa lahat,” she added.

Last March, Katrina confirmed that the father of her child is Kris Lawrence.

Derek’s Decision

Derek ramsay taking up another path of his career after signing up a contract at TV-5.

A week ago Derek Refuse to renew his contract with Kapamilya(ABS-CBN) because the TV5 offer was something he could not refuse.

“Leaving ABS-Cbn was not about money” Derek says,It was about doing something he really wanted to do.

He indeed wanted more exposure on the small screen, and with uncertainty about any upcoming projects plaguing him.

TV5 offers to derek ramsay a hosting job for the local franchise of the international reality show, “The Amzing Race”.

which he sees as his real calling, In fact, he sees the show as a sort of extension of his persona;

something he can really feel at home with and also succeed.

At this stage of his career, when he become popular in the showbiz world, as one of the franchise artist of the station,

changing loyalties is considered a very big gamble. And he probably knew this very well. But despite the odds,

it seemed Derek, who is the devil-may-care, adventurous type, was happy with his decision.

Jessy talks About Friendship With JM

Young actress, Jessy Mendiola, said she will just go with the flow if the young actor JM de Guzman decides to seriously court her in the future.

It was reported that there is a developing romance between the two but the young actress clarified that the young actor never courted her or even asked her out.

JM, though, has been vocal about his admiration for the young actress.

Jessy said that only time can tell if she and JM will take their friendship to the next level, according to an interview.

“Well depende na lang sa kanya ‘yun kung kaya pa niya kasi siya din yata busy. May soap siya ngayon. I don’t know, I guess kung gusto niya manligaw, manliligaw siya. Kung hindi eh ‘di hindi. I think time will tell naman talaga ‘yan eh. Work talaga is very hectic. Hindi naman puwedeng manligaw lang, bibigyan na ng way,” she said.

Apart from JM, Jessy said that there are no other guys who are trying to pursue her.

“Wala. Hindi ko nga alam umaaligid siya (de Guzman) noon eh. Kaya hindi ko alam kung may umaaligid pang iba. Basta sobrang nawala nga ‘yung connection ko sa mga issues,” she uttered.

Jessy is currently working on a movie with actor Enchong Dee after her television series “Budoy”.

“Ngayon nag-shu-shoot kami para sa bagong movie called ‘The Reunion.’ It’s the first time in a long time sa Star Cinema na gumawa ulit sila ng barkada film since ‘Gimik’ and ‘Trip.’ It’s directed by Frasco Mortiz,” she said.

Fresh Graduate Alex Gonzaga Hopes To Become A Teacher

Alex Gonzaga attests that a busy schedule shouldn’t stop a celebrity from getting a degree.

The young TV5 princess is overjoyed upon receiving a diploma for Education Major in Child Development at the University of Asia and the Pacific recently. She noticed, however, that she is yet to undergo on-the-job training (OJT).

“Masaya ako sa accomplishment ko! Pero hindi pa po talaga ako magtuturo kasi hindi pa ako nakapag-OJT, although may diploma naman ako. Meron pa akong 9 unitsna kukunin para makapagturo. Pero hopefully, ‘pag nagkaroon ng time, matapos ko, kasi gusto ko talaga magtayo ng school,” she uttered in a recent interview.

Although she hasn’t taken a licensure examination yet, Alex pointed out, “…’yung school namin, ‘yung pinag-aralan ko po, ay may subject kami na tinuturuan ka rin kung paano magtayo ng school. Business course, at the same time… educators.”

Alex admitted that teaching has always been a passion and a dream for her.

“Gusto ko talaga maging teacher ng mga bata. Gusto ko pa nga noon, high school ang turuan. Dati nung bata ako, gumagawa pa ako ng lesson plan,” she said.

Pinty Gonzaga, Alex’s mother and manager, believes that it is fit for Alex to teach pre-school, “para makapag-start daw kami sa paggawa ng school.” she said.

“Di ba, ‘pag nag-start ng school, mag-i-start sa pre-school, habang nagtatagal, padagdag nang padagdag na lang ng grades kada taon? ‘Yun ‘yung plano,” she added.

Alex, however, will not set aside her showbiz obligations. She’ve been asked about her post-graduate plans, the TV host-actress said, “Sa TV5 muna, kasi under contract ako sa kanila. Kung ano po ‘yung ibibigay sa akin ng TV5, of course, open ako doon. Pero sana, magamit ko rin ‘yung pinag-aralan ko.”

Will Alex make more time for her love life since she already graduated? The young princess was spotted with her reported former boyfriend, Kean Cipriano at the Manila concert of pop-rock group Hanson last March 30, 2012.

She were, nevertheless, quick to dismiss rumors that they’re back together, emphasizing they are only friends.

“In-invite niya lang po ako dito… para nga manood nitong concert ng Hanson. Paborito ko kasi ang Hanson kaya ayun, inaya niya ako manood,” said Alex.

Montano Denies Snubbing OMB Chairmanship

Seems like the actor, Cesar Montano didn’t actually discard the Optical Media Board (OMB) chairmanship as reported.

According to the actor, there was just a “misunderstanding” over the issue and that all is still up in the air.

“Inaayos namin, pero hindi ako uupo muna… hindi muna,” he said in a recent interview. “Nagkaroon lang ng misunderstanding.”

Seemingly, there is still an enduring talk of another “appointment” but Montano is silent as to what that means, only observing that, “mas effective ako sa ibang parte. Like arts and culture, gano’n.”

In addition, Montano said that leading the OMB is not his “cup of tea.”

“Maraming mas bagay sa trabahong ‘yan,” he asserted. “In the first place, hindi naman kailangang artista diyan.”

Montano argued that it’s all a substance of personal judgment, as to what exactly is his stand regarding piracy. “There are no outside solution. There are only inside solution when it comes to that,” he uttered.

“The problem is us, we’re all sinners, we’re all guilty of doing that. Iyan po ang katotohanan,” he added.

President Benigno Aquino III was the one who selected Montano to the Optical Media Board (OMB) early this year.

As a replacement of the musician and board member, John Philip Lesaca, Montano was initially chosen to a term expiring on March 5, 2013. Talks of Montano supposing the chairmanship position just raiced lately.

Ronnie Ricketts is currently the head of OMB, a friend of Montano.

“Nagkausap na kami [about the appointment],” Montano said. “Ganoon din sinabi ko sa kanya. Sabi ko, kayang-kaya na niya ‘yun.”

Temporarily, Montano had forbidden proposals that he had a falling out with GMA executives, which supposedly guided him to not renew his contract with the entertainment giant.

“No, no… I have finished my contract with GMA-7. [But] I’m happy with the way they treated me,” he said. “Wala akong masasabi but thank you very much to GMA-7, Atty. [Felipe] Gozon, to Jimmy Duavit and to Shirley Pizarro, my manager na nag-alaga sa akin nung nandoon pa ako,” he added.

He confessed, though, that there were arranged projects that didn’t exactly push through during his term with the network.

“Ah, well, dapat meron kaming gagawin, pero hindi na muna natuloy. May offer naman sila, eh. But right now, gusto kong mag-focus sa pelikula [with Viva, his new management team],” he supposed.

Montano revealed that he is considering over the prospect of joining TV5 if only to be able to work with his buddy, actor Aga Muhlach again.

“Puwede, bakit hindi? I’d love to work with Aga again. Lalo na kung noontime show, comedy, o sitcom,” he alleged.

Kris Bernal Willing To Be Paired With Jake Vargas

Kris Bernal, a young actress of today’s generation, is very thankful of the good ratings that her afternoon drama series at GMA 7, Ang Hiram Na Puso, received.

The young actress is one of the attendees in the thanksgiving party organized by GMA-7. They executed the gathering because of the continuous robust ratings of the drama shows in their Afternoon Prime block.

Aside from the series, Hiram Na Puso, the other Afternoon Prime series of GMA-7 are The Good Daughter, Broken Vow and Alice Bungisngis and her Wonder Walis.

The Thanksgiving party was held at Studio 6 of GMA Annex Building, March 27, 2012 (Tuesday) along with the press.

According to the young Actress she single-out the award winning actress, Ms. Gina Alajar, because according to her she was so inspired whenever they do scenes together.

Ms. Gina Alajar was the acting mother of Kris Bernal in the afternoon series.

According to Kris, “Noon ko pa talaga gustong makatrabaho si Ms. Gina Alajar. Malaki ang respeto ko sa kanya at hinahangaan ko ang pagiging artista niya at pagiging director din niya. Isa kasi si Ms. Gina sa nagturo sa amin sa pag-arte noong nasa StarStruck pa lang. Kaya doon ko nakita kung gaano siya kagaling at lahat ng itinuro niya sa amin ay nagagamit ko sa mga shows na nagawa ko na sa Kapuso network. Kaya noong malaman ko na siya ang gaganap na mother ko sa Hiram Na Puso, talagang natuwa ako at dream come true para sa akin. Tuwing may eksena nga kami ni Ms. Gina, talagang ginagalingan ko kasi ayokong mapahiya. Kahit na on the set, tinuturuan pa rin niya ako sa mga eksena. Pauleen Luna Chooses To Ignore “Gold Digger” Tag; Says She Respects Everybody’s Opinion

“Gold Digger” that’s what many people say about the young actress, Pauleen Luna, because of her association with the people who have big names in the world politics and showbiz.

Meanwhile, the young actress decided to just keep her mouth shut to prove to the people who are accusing her that she is not guilty of the accusations given to her and according to the actress that’s her way of protecting herself.

“You know, sometimes when you know something, you don’t have to prove it to the world or whatever.” She summoned.

“So I just like to keep my privacy this time for myself.”

Strong and very opinionated are some of the qualities that the young actress possesses but on the other hand the issues linked to her such as the closeness that she and Vic Sotto established were not given priority by their Eat Bulaga Family.

“Wala. Yun nga, I’d like to keep this part of my life private for now.”

“I mean, I hope people will understand,” she said.

In contrast, Pauleen Luna admits that she’s been upset of the charges associated with her.

“I guess it’s but normal. But you know, I respect everybody’s opinion,” according to her.

Also, the young actress is not only fulfilled with what she has right now but she as well is very delighted of what’s happening to her life in the present. Is there someone inspiring her as of the moment?

Nora Aunor Lost Her Singing Voice

Superstar Nora Aunor hoping that she’ll be able to sing again someday. She had a cosmetic surgery years ago that allegedly damaged her vocal cords. After a series of medical check-up and treatment for her vocal cords in the U.S. she returned in Philippines last February.

She did a couple of acting projects, she said every time she sees other people sing it makes her cry since she misses performing so much.

Nora said when she had an interview at the 9^th Enpress Golden Screen Awards last March 24 in Teatrino Greenhills,“Umiiyak pa rin ako kapag nakakapanood ng mga kumakanta. Sa totoo lang,”.

The Superstar received the Lino Brocka Lifetime Achievement award. She learned to accept the fact that a lot of harm has been done even though she regrets the damage to her vocal cords. Nora said, “Masakit talaga. Nagsisi ako kung bakit ko ginawa (ang cosmetic surgery), pero andoon na iyon, eh. Wala na tayong magagawa.”

Superstar Nora Aunor admits that she always listen to her songs even it hurts her. But despite of this she’s happy because of the Noranians continue believe her. “Iyon na lang ang nagbibigay-buhay din sa akin talaga. Maliban sa pamilya at sa lahat ng mga nagmamahal sa akin,” she said.

Nora gave an update on her medical treatment in the US. “Na-check-up na ako ng doktor. Kaya kailangang bumalik ako para sa operation. Totoo iyon (na malaki ang magiging expenses). Kaya pinag-iipunan ko pa ‘yong ibang dapat gastusin”, she said.

She has a new project at her home network TV5 but she will first make a movie with multi-awarded director Brillante Mendoza this April.

Katrina Halili Pregnancy

Katrina confirmed in showbiz talk show of GMA-7, Startalk last March 24 that she’s three months pregnant and Kris Lawrence was the father of her baby.

Based on Katrina she found out that she’s pregnant last February. Katrina said, “Yun ang naisip ko na, ‘Ready na ba ako na ibang tao na ang iisipin ko? So, isang araw ko inisip yun, okay naman po. Blessing po ito, e. Ito na ang ibinibigay sa akin na bagong chapter sa buhay ko, e,”.

Her personal assistant was the first person who knew about her pregnancy and then she tells it to Kris Lawrence. “Masaya si Kris. Siyempre blessing yun, e.”, Katrina said.

After how many weeks before they tell to their parents about her pregnancy. Katrina said, “Tiyenempuhan ko na kasi.Una kasi nasabi niya [ina ni Katrina] sa kaibigan ko na gusto na raw niya magkaapo… ‘Sige, sabihin ko na nga! Pati ang parents ni Kris, parang gusto na rin nila magkaapo kaya sinabi na rin namin.”. So in the side of Kris it was the first grandchild while in the side of Katrina it was the second.

Katrina also said that she’s not having food cravings, “Nung two months pa lang, mga one week ako hindi nakapaglakad, sobrang masakit kasi ang likod ko. Pero ngayon, okay na po.” She said.

She always wants to cook.”Siguro mga two months, pagkagising ko at bago ako matulog, luto lang ako nang luto.Mga kare-kare, kaldereta… yung mga hindi ko alam lutuin, tina-try kong lutuin ‘tapos mga tao sa bahay pinapakain ko. Sa isang araw, mga tatlong putahe ang niluluto ko! Actually, nahirapan din siya kasi parang feeling niya, wala siyang kuwenta kasi ayoko siyang makita. Gusto ko magluto lang nang magluto, ayaw ko pa-istorbo!” she said.

Katrina said that she and Lawrence focus first in their baby. They did not talk about the wedding. “Hindi naman po namin kailangang i-rush. Like sabi nga po ng Papa ko, hindi porke’t may nangyaring ganyan, e, kailangan ma-pressure si Kris na pakasalan ako. Ako rin, ayoko muna kasi ibang usapan na po yung kasal. Siguro ‘pag dumating na yung time na talagang gusto na naming dalawa… na ready na kami. E, hindi pa po kami ready,” saad ng aktres.

Katrina due date was on September.

Katrina was not worried about her career and she’s happy what she have right now. “Actually, nagpaalam ako sa production na sana tanggalin na lang nila ako kasi baka hindi ko naman magampanan ang role na gusto nila.Like, baka hindi na ako makapagsuot ng sexy… siyempre magge-gain ako ng weight. Bawal pa ako magpuyat, kailangan kong alagaan ang sarili ko din. Baka hindi ko magampanan ang ibibigay nila sa akin na trabaho. Hindi naman nila ako pinayagan kasi kailangan nga po nila ako sa show. Willing naman po ako mag-stay kung sasabihin nila ang ganun. At least, maalagaan nila ako. Ang akin lang, gusto ko lang iparating sa kanila kung ano ang sitwasyon ko,” Katrina said.

After she finished her drama series she will be having a vacation in Palawan in two to three months. Katrina wants that her baby was a girl but whatever God will give to them they will accept it with all their heart.

YES! Exclusive: KC Concepcion Bares Her New Home

Many would think that a star as big as KC Concepcion need not work hard to get what she wants. But what people do not know is that KC is an independent woman who knows exactly what she wants and knows how to get it on her own.

“When people wanna bring me down, the easiest thing they say to me or about me is ‘Wala namang inano ‘yan, e. Ano’ng pinagtrabahuhan niya?’ Parang feeling siguro nila, nagpapamanicure lang ako buong araw, di ba?”

She says, “And it’s like, eto, ni isang centavo, wala akong hiningi, and I’m thankful I can do that. And that’s why I think, in a way na-prove ko rin sa family ko na kahit ano’ng mangyari, magsu-survive ako. Na may survival skills pala ako.”

KC has found her sanctuary in a quiet neighborhood in Bonifacio Global City.

The spacious condominium, which she describes as very open and airy fulfills everything KC wants her home to be—modern, sleek, and very Pinoy.

The desire to have an open space for her home comes from her experience living in hallway-sized apartments while in Paris.

“Since college ako, I had this idea, of, like, a dream pad, because in Paris you live in such small spaces.”

So when KC was finally building her own home, she made sure that her condo was made as open and airy as possible.

To achieve this, the construction required tearing down of walls and revising the original division of the rooms.

The two of the smaller rooms of the three-bedroom unit was converted into a walk-in closet and a home office.

One of the house’s main features is an illuminated onyx wall, a statement piece that separates KC’s living room from the kitchen.

Aside from having to deal with the brittleness of the onyx, the materials also had to be flown from Italy. This slowed down the construction of the wall, and took builders seven months to finish.

Like her onyx wall, all the other pieces in KC’s home was personally handpicked, combining high-end furniture with locally-made ones, vintage pieces, and even items from her lola’s house. The common factor is that each piece in the house truly represents her.

She even muses, “Kung tao kasi ‘tong bahay na ‘to, mula dulo ng buhok hanggang dumi sa kuko alam ko, e.”
