After having repaired her rift with presumptive-presidential sister Kris Aquino, “cosmetic surgeon to the stars” Vicki Belo has expressed eagerness to help out in the “makeover” of the country’s soon-to-be-president, Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III. Belo’s announcement came after the younger Aquino publicly articulated on the matter during and after the recent campaign period. Belo said she agrees with the “The Buzz” host, and in an interview with GMA News, shared the importance of improving the older Aquino’s appearance. “We don’t want a president looking worried all the time,” she said. According to Belo, Aquino would do well to have work done on his hair, eyes, skin, and face. “His receding hairline makes him appear older. I want to keep him young and a hair transplant can do just that,” Belo explained. For Aquino’s eyes, Belo suggested “minor surgery to [get] rid [of] the sagging skin [under his eyes]. “It will make him look fresh once again.” For Aquino’s uneven skin tone, Belo suggested that Aquino use Cosmelan, a topical cream that his controversial actress-host sister also uses. Belo also recommended Botox injections for Aquino to lessen the appearance of the facial lines brought about by age. Though it’s too early to tell if Aquino will take heed of Belo’s advice, of late he has seemingly shown a bit of latitude when it comes to propositions offered by her youngest sister, including having to consider some showbiz denizens for government posts. Also, when international magazine Time, came a calling a few months back, Aquino acquiesced to her sister’s request that stylist Liz Uy [also known as the ex-girlfriend of matinee actor John Lloyd Cruz] be brought in for some fashion exertion. In any case, Aquino bared some fashion sense of his own, announcing recently that he will be wearing a traditional barong Tagalog designed by young, hip Filipino designer JC Buendia during his upcoming inauguration. Aquino said he personally hand-picked the design –one with the symbolic ribbon closely associated with his parents—from many that Buendia presented to him. “It’s a symbol of the (country’s) struggle today, and I want to be sure that I don’t lose my ground,” he said.

Wednesday, May 26th, 2010In a private meeting yesterday May 24, Willie Revillame apologized to ABS-CBN management for his outburst on Wowowee last May 4. In that particular episode, Willie had threatened to resign if ABS-CBN did not give in to his demand that radio commentator and The Buzz co-host Jobert Sucaldito be fired for airing negative comments about Wowowee over the latter’s radio program. Willie has since been on leave from the leading noontime show.
In an official statement, ABS-CBN has expressed its acceptance of Willie’s apology. The network also announced that Willie will continue to be on indefinite leave but will remain under contract with the Kapamilya network. (Willie’s contract is valid until 2011.)
ABS-CBN also revealed that there will be further discussions with Willie about his work with the network as well as the future of Wowowee.

Boxing champ Manny Pacquiao for “congressman”?
Wednesday, May 12th, 2010World boxing champion Manny Pacquiao showed confidence that he was about to win a new title as congressman in the Philippine House of Representatives.
Preliminary results from Monday’s ballot with over 80 percent of votes counted showed Pacquiao delivering a knockout punch, winning double the number of votes for his rival in a seat representing the southern province of Sarangani.
We all know that Manny is a pro when it comes to boxing, but there are questions regarding on his credibility as a congressman. Many questions and many intrigues are showing if he can really do his job if ever he will be announced as the new Sarangani congressman.
“I am excited about serving my fellow Filipinos. This has long been my dream,” Pacquiao was quoted as saying by the broadcaster ABS-CBN’s website.
I believe that we are all capable of serving our country. Even if you’re just a high school gradute and it’s in your will to help those who are in need, then just go do your thing. Just like Manny, if helping and serving his fellow Filipinos is what he likes, then why not give him a chance.

Philippines First Automated Election
Tuesday, May 11th, 2010May 10,2010, crowds flocked to their respective precints Monday as the Philippines held its first national election using electronic voting machines also known as the PCOS Machines. The voting started 7am and expected to close the bid by 6pm but the Lines were long and the polls extended the voting time by an hour in order to accommodate everyone. Ever since, election in the Philippines was partnered by violence and election fraud. That’s not new to hear but compare to previews elections, this 2010 election was the most less violent and can be considered as the most peaceful when compare to the previews one.
The first automated election in the Philippines did went well though there were some related problems when it comes to the use of the machines. Some of the crowds liked the new system of voting and some were disappointed maybe because of the long hours of waiting. But disappointed or not, still we are glad that the first automated election somewhat did went well.
Luis Manzano says drama is more demanding than action

Aside from lifting weights and running the treadmill, Luis Manzano also practices muaythai and mma (mixed martial arts). His looks and his skills definitely read “action star material.” But why does he prefer doing drama more over action movies? “I think drama is more fulfilling. It has more demands, more emotions used,” answered Luis.
Luis Manzano had to give up his hosting job in Entertainment Live for ABS-CBN’s new talent show, Pilipinas Got Talent.
“I will be gone for six weeks, since I have to go around the Philippines for PGT,” Luis said in an interview with PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) recently. Luis will tour with co-host Billy Crawford to scout for Pinoy talents who’ll peform in front of celebrity judges Kris Aquino, Ai-Ai delas Alas, and former ABS-CBN president Freddie M. Garcia.
Aside from PGT, Luis is slated to start a movie with the Young Superstar Judy Ann Santos and Popstar Princess and box-office queen Sarah Geronimo. “The title of the movie is Hating Kapatid,” informed Luis about his movie with Juday and Sarah which will be under Viva Films.

because of a severe disease. It is hard to accept but they believe that her father didn’t waste his life. “For whatever it’s worth, I know he lived a full life.” Desiree said.
After a year of relationship with Vhong Navarro, Vhong finally speaked up with their break up. And when the media asked Desiree, she just said that she is not ready to taked about it. As for now, she wants to concentrate to her carrier. And she was too busy in her horror TV series and a teleserye May Bukas Pa.
“Keep yourself busy. And wake up early each day para madami kang magagawa. Kasi sayang eh. Kasi life is short. And you have to make the most out of it. And sana ‘yung mga choices mo maging mabuti to make you a better person” she explained. “Shockingly, I graduated on time, three years. Ang saya, ibang klase. Parang yung pinaghirapan mo, yung binuhos mong pawis, dugo, yung ini-spend mong time parang nawala lahat, kasi nga natanggap mo na yung diploma mo. Nakakakilig. More than pa yung feeling sa nakakakilig.” Enchong said.
There are plenty of actors and actress who finished their studies. And for them it is a greatest achivements if they finished college. Like Iya Villana, Laarni Lozada and Boy Abunda. Enchong can now concentrate to his showbiz commitments like his upcoming teleserye, Katorse, with Erich Gonzales.
Enchong said, “Hindi rin, kasi ang daming nagsasabi na after you graduate, there’s another journey na iyong tatahakin. I’m taking up my masters right now. Kasi habang bata, go lang ng go. Masters in Development Policy.” The reason why he wants to take his masters s because he want to be part of the politics world. “Kasi napakacolorful ng politics dito sa Philippines. TV”. At that time she was known as Gretchen and Marjorie Barreto’s sister.
At a young age, she was already acting alongside comedian Dolphy at “Home Along Da Riles” as Bing, the daugther of Kevin which the Comedy King Dolphy. And Aga Muhlach in “Oki Doki Doc” as the sister of Agot Isidro and daugther of Babalu. She also became the main character twice in Star Magic Presents and win the Star Awards of “Best TV Personality Award” in the year 1997 for the episode of “Kasunduan”.
She was started in various hit TV shows including Mula Sa Puso, Saan Ka Man Naroroon, Sa Dulo ng Walang Hanggan, Marina and Ikaw ang Lahat sa Akin.
And because of her wonderful talent in acting, he had a movie with a very promising actors and actresses. Like Maricel Soriano, Sharon Cuneta, Vilma Santos, Christopher de Leon, Gloria Diaz, Hilda Koronel, at Dolphy. Diether Ocampo choosed to celebrate his birthday with the K.I.D.S Foundation instead of having a party. a day before his birthday, July 18, 2009, Diether invites some members of entertainment press and ABS-CBN.com at San Fernando, Pampanga to witness another K.I.D.S. Foundation (Kabataan Inyong Dapat Suportahan Foundation) event.
This is the first time he faced to the media after encountering health problem in the U.S. during their star magic concert tour. Diet stated to the media of what happened to him in the U.S. and how is he now. He also told that after what happened, he was now conscious on the food he will eat and his daily nutrition.
Diether has matured in a lot of ways. In fact, he said that he has no regrets in all the thing that was happened to him in the past years. And he was thankful of all the blessings that was given to him.

The People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) crowned the singer-actress Geneva Cruz as the Philippines’ Sexiest Vegetarian Celebrity of 2009.
It was based from the online poll made by PETA that the number of votes of Geneva was just a little bit difference from the total votes gain by Eat Bulaga host Lougee Basabas. The search for the Philippines’ Sexiest Vegetarian Celebrity of 2009 was part of the PETA’s vegetarian campaign and of protecting animal rights.
