Luis Manzano says drama is more demanding than action

Aside from lifting weights and running the treadmill, Luis Manzano also practices muaythai and mma (mixed martial arts). His looks and his skills definitely read “action star material.” But why does he prefer doing drama more over action movies? “I think drama is more fulfilling. It has more demands, more emotions used,” answered Luis.

Luis Manzano had to give up his hosting job in Entertainment Live for ABS-CBN’s new talent show, Pilipinas Got Talent.

“I will be gone for six weeks, since I have to go around the Philippines for PGT,” Luis said in an interview with PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) recently. Luis will tour with co-host Billy Crawford to scout for Pinoy talents who’ll peform in front of celebrity judges Kris Aquino, Ai-Ai delas Alas, and former ABS-CBN president Freddie M. Garcia.

Aside from PGT, Luis is slated to start a movie with the Young Superstar Judy Ann Santos and Popstar Princess and box-office queen Sarah Geronimo. “The title of the movie is Hating Kapatid,” informed Luis about his movie with Juday and Sarah which will be under Viva Films.

Even though KC and Gabby don’t get to see each other often, he was aware of the fact that Piolo Pascual has been courting his daughter. He was now open to answer the questions about that issue. “That’s old news e, kalat na kalat na ‘yan. Siyempre we will not deny that dahil alangan namang ako lang ang ‘di nakakaalam.” Gabby said. When he asked if he approves the match, he qickly reply Yes. Just like Sharon Cuneta who was vocal about wanting Piolo Pascual as KC’s future husband. “Oo naman, mabait naman siya. Siyempre sino ba naman ang hindi dahil ang alam natin sa kanya okay siya. Sana nga yung friendship nila mas tumibay pa and I hope tuloy-tuloy yung friendship nila,” he replied.

But if he was giving his daughter an advice, Gabby stressed that she should not rush into anything that she’s not yet ready for. “Sabi nga nila enjoy it while it lasts. But at the same time, be careful with your emotions. You have to control your emotions dahil baka ikaw lang ang masaktan. But whatever it is, siyempre nagkasama kayo because of circumstances, you have to be mature enough to accept what comes with that responsibility. So ganon lang, bumabalik ulit sa take it slow at saka think before you act.” Gabby said.

Gabby was relieved to know that KC recently assured Sharon that she has no plans to get married anytime soon even if her suitor or byfriend was the country’s ultimate hearthrob. “O ‘di good! Because I don’t want to be a young lolo!” he laughed. “Hindi… Basta’t masaya ang anak ko masaya na din ako. Hindi ko naman buhay ‘yan e. Ang importante lang siyempre kung saan siya masaya otherwise kapag mabigat ang dibdib niya mabigat din ang dibdib mo, ganun lang naman ‘yan,” he finally stated.

Gabby is a father, and has right to get involve in his daughter’s life. Specially when talking about KC’s suitors and about marriage. Atleast his open about what is going on to his daughter’s life. As long as he still become a father to KC, support, understand and love his daughter he can be a good father.

John Lloyd Cruz and Liz Uy Cross their Path Again

In the press conference of the latest product endorsement of John Lloyd Cruz, everybody was shock to see Liz Uy. John Lloyd give Liz a hug after he give the Liz’s price on the raffle at that night. That hug symbolized that they were in good terms now after their break up. “Yung embrace, it felt good…I was very happy to see her dahil di na kami madalas magkita ngayon” John Lloyd said. He admit that he misses his ex-girlfriend Liz because that is the last time he saw her after their break up. But when media tried to interview Liz, she didn’t give the media a chance to interview her about the insidence.

Beside from that there’s something that they noticed to John Lloyd, its his new look. Someone ask him if that sudden make-over has an influence of his love life now, but he just laugh and deny it. Their are two important things for him rigth now; his career and his mountain biking. And to explain everything about the sudden change of his image, he said that this is part of his upcoming movie with one and only Star for All Seasons, Ms. Vilma Santos that will be seen in the month of September.

About John Lloyd and Liz, its a personal matter. Liz choose to be silent on that night and we need to respect that or the media must respect that because its a private issue. It doesn’t matter how long they been in a relationship, the most important is that they are willing to forgive each other even they had a big issue why they break up. We should give them a time to move on. And even they meet again unexpectedly, we should respect their silence if they don’t want to talk about it. Even an actor and actress has a private life, and we need to respect it.

Diet celebrate his birthday at K.I.D.S. Foundation at Bulaon, Pampanga last Saturday, July 18, 2009. And his with her girlfriend Rima Lorza Otswani. “This is the first time I joined him for his K.I.D.S Foundation and I’m so happy. I’m so proud of him too” Rima said.

Diet and Rima will be celebrating their first year anniversary this year. Diet and Rima faced a lot of trials in their relationships. One of them is when Diet had a health problem in the America during their Star Magic Concert Tour. Rima was aware that Kristine is the one take care of Diet in the hospital. “I would like to thank her for her support and for being there for Diether.” said Rima. And when someone asked her if she feel jealous to Kristine, she said “Ay! Hindi naman. Hindi naman po kasi I’m very secured with what I have with Diether. So, ‘yung talaga sobrang strong nu’ng foundation namin. So, we’re very happy and things like that, hindi na po kailangan.” Did they meet? “Ah, we’ve met already. She’s very nice.” Did she heard the news that Kristine said that she want to be with Diether again?“Ah, I haven’t read about that. Hindi ko po masasabi kung totoo po talaga ‘yun. So, I cannot comment po talaga.”

Did she think that their relationship come up into marriage, like what happened to Kristine and Diet? “Well, all I can say right now is I’m very, very happy with him and I’m very contented. And wherever God will take us I’m willing to go.” Rima stated. Is she ready to get married to Diet? “Ah, wala pa naman tayo doon. Pero we will see po. Pag-iisipan ko,” she said.

I think Diether wants to be with Rima forever. But who knows? Someday we just heard to the news that thay will getting married. Or they are already separated. We can not say what will happened on the next day, weeks, months or even years. In the relationship, as long as they have respect, trust and love each other, it might last forever.

There’s a lot of trials coming to Desiree’s life. But according to her, she’s now feeling better. A few days ago her father died because of a severe disease. It is hard to accept but they believe that her father didn’t waste his life. “For whatever it’s worth, I know he lived a full life.” Desiree said.

After a year of relationship with Vhong Navarro, Vhong finally speaked up with their break up. And when the media asked Desiree, she just said that she is not ready to taked about it. As for now, she wants to concentrate to her carrier. And she was too busy in her horror TV series and a teleserye May Bukas Pa.

“Keep yourself busy. And wake up early each day para madami kang magagawa. Kasi sayang eh. Kasi life is short. And you have to make the most out of it. And sana ‘yung mga choices mo maging mabuti to make you a better person” she explained. When she asked what are the lessons that she learned to their relationship, she said, “Every time you have a relationship is always a learning process. Parang there’s no 101 or basic about it, eh. Everybody involved is different.” She’s right about it. Every new things that people do is always a learning process. Not only in a relationships but all the new experience in life.

Enchong Dee’s latest achievement

Enchong is finally graduated from college in De La Salle University with the degree of Bachelor in Arts Major in Development Studies, at PICC, CCP Complex in Pasay City.Together with his parents, that are so proud in taking pictures and videos of Enchong. It was a big surprise for Enchong and his family to receive the news that the actor graduated as regular and in time despite the busy scheduled of actor for showbiz commitments and swimming.

“Shockingly, I graduated on time, three years. Ang saya, ibang klase. Parang yung pinaghirapan mo, yung binuhos mong pawis, dugo, yung ini-spend mong time parang nawala lahat, kasi nga natanggap mo na yung diploma mo. Nakakakilig. More than pa yung feeling sa nakakakilig.” Enchong said.

There are plenty of actors and actress who finished their studies. And for them it is a greatest achivements if they finished college. Like Iya Villana, Laarni Lozada and Boy Abunda. Enchong can now concentrate to his showbiz commitments like his upcoming teleserye, Katorse, with Erich Gonzales.

Enchong said, “Hindi rin, kasi ang daming nagsasabi na after you graduate, there’s another journey na iyong tatahakin. I’m taking up my masters right now. Kasi habang bata, go lang ng go. Masters in Development Policy.” The reason why he wants to take his masters s because he want to be part of the politics world. “Kasi napakacolorful ng politics dito sa Philippines. Lalo na next year, its gonna be the elections. I wanna be part of it. I wanna open my mind more about our Philippine politics. Suprisingly, ang politics at entertainment dito sa Philippines ay nagja-jive. So, connected naman siya.” Well I hope he can be a good politician someday.

Claudine Barreto was discovered by a late talent manager Douglas Quijano. She begun as a cast of one of the ABS-CBN’s youth show “Ang TV”. At that time she was known as Gretchen and Marjorie Barreto’s sister.

At a young age, she was already acting alongside comedian Dolphy at “Home Along Da Riles” as Bing, the daugther of Kevin which the Comedy King Dolphy. And Aga Muhlach in “Oki Doki Doc” as the sister of Agot Isidro and daugther of Babalu. She also became the main character twice in Star Magic Presents and win the Star Awards of “Best TV Personality Award” in the year 1997 for the episode of “Kasunduan”.

She was started in various hit TV shows including Mula Sa Puso, Saan Ka Man Naroroon, Sa Dulo ng Walang Hanggan, Marina and Ikaw ang Lahat sa Akin.

And because of her wonderful talent in acting, he had a movie with a very promising actors and actresses. Like Maricel Soriano, Sharon Cuneta, Vilma Santos, Christopher de Leon, Gloria Diaz, Hilda Koronel, at Dolphy. Some of her notable fils were Lagalag: The eddie Fernandez Story, Madrasta, Dahil Mahal na Mahal Kita, the movie adaption of Mula sa Puso, Soltera, Kailangan Kita, Anak, Mila and Sukob.

Claudine, who already won three best actress awards, and was crowned Box Office Queen when her 2002 film with former boyfriend Rico Yan, “Got 2 Believe in Magic”, became a box-office hit. Got 2 Believe was her last movie with the late Rico Yan.

Claudine in 30, is married to an actor Raymart Santiago, who is also celebrating his birthday today. Santiago, 36, is an action star and comedian. And now they have two children. Namely Sabina Natasha and Rodrigo Santino.

Diether Ocampo choosed to celebrate his birthday with the K.I.D.S Foundation instead of having a party. a day before his birthday, July 18, 2009, Diether invites some members of entertainment press and ABS-CBN.com at San Fernando, Pampanga to witness another K.I.D.S. Foundation (Kabataan Inyong Dapat Suportahan Foundation) event.

This is the first time he faced to the media after encountering health problem in the U.S. during their star magic concert tour. Diet stated to the media of what happened to him in the U.S. and how is he now. He also told that after what happened, he was now conscious on the food he will eat and his daily nutrition.

Diether has matured in a lot of ways. In fact, he said that he has no regrets in all the thing that was happened to him in the past years. And he was thankful of all the blessings that was given to him.

The People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) crowned the singer-actress Geneva Cruz as the Philippines’ Sexiest Vegetarian Celebrity of 2009.

It was based from the online poll made by PETA that the number of votes of Geneva was just a little bit difference from the total votes gain by Eat Bulaga host Lougee Basabas. The search for the Philippines’ Sexiest Vegetarian Celebrity of 2009 was part of the PETA’s vegetarian campaign and of protecting animal rights.

SINGER Erik Santos said it will take a long time before he will be seen on TV as an actor.

Erik said there have been offers for him to act, but he has turned it down because he is still not confident to venture into acting yet.

He revealed that he was about to do an indie film before but still ended up rejecting it. “I am not comfortable acting.

Taking the floor on Tuesday, Revilla strongly condemned the uploading on the internet of Kho’s sex video with the young actress, whom the senator declined to identify.
