Arron Villaflor considers himself to be one of the lucky few who is able to join the newest all-male teen dance group dubbed as the Giggerboys. Though he has been in showbiz for several years now, he believes that being grouped with Enchong Dee, Robi Domingo, AJ Perez, Sam Concepcion, Dino Imperial, and Chris Gutierrez is a big boost to his career. “Of course nabuhayan ulit si Aaron after U Can Dance Version 2. Authorities on Tuesday morning arrested a former matinee idol in Malate, Manila for illegal use of siren.
Dranreb Belleza was nabbed when the Toyota Revo he was riding reached Malate Church. He was with his driver when arrested.
ABS-CBN’s “Umagang Kay Ganda” reported that Belleza’s vehicle kept circling the area past 4 a.m. while using a car siren.
This caused an alarm among residents who immediately reported the incident to the police.

Aleck Bovick, born Maria Teresa Bovick Tambis, is known for her sexy films.
In 2006, the half-Filipino, half-German actress joined ABS-CBN’s reality show “Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Edition” in an attempt to revive her career. While inside the house, she and fellow celebrity housemate, TV Patrol reporter Gretchen Malalad, became best friends.
She was the first female celebrity to be kicked out of PBB house after receiving the lowest number of votes.

MANILA, Philippines - Former sexy actress Aleck Bovick had a share of the limelight, albeit short, during the Senate session Monday.
The name of Bovick came up after Senator Loren Legarda delivered a speech on the alleged racial slur by Hollywood actor Alec Baldwin against Filipinos.
Majority Leader Juan Miguel Zubiri referred her speech to the Committee on Women.

As always, the victory party tendered for world boxing champ Manny Pacquiao by his good friend former Gov. Luis “Chavit” Singson at the latter’s residence in Corinthian Village, QC was celebrity-studded. In attendance were prominent VIPs in government (like Secretary of Justice Raul Gonzalez) and the diplomatic corps, politicians including Senators Manny Villar, Miguel Zubiri and Gringo Honasan; and Rep. Bongbong Marcos; and celebrities from showbiz and Philippine high society.
But what really excited the guests, aside from Manny of course, were the “American Idol” stars David Cook and David Archuleta who were here for a concert last Saturday (May 16) at the SM Mall of Asia concert grounds. An estimated 100,000 fans from all over the country, 50,000 seated, trooped the concert grounds of SM Mall of Asia for the back-to-back concert of American Idol season 7 winner and runner-up David Cook and David Archuleta.
The one-night-only concert in Manila and the first time the two Davids performed on one stage since the American Idol season 7 finale one year ago, not only brought the jampacked arena down but it also brought traffic around the Mall of Asia in Pasay – before and after the show. Read more..

His first project in the kapuso network is via the mini-series “Suspetsa” of “SRO Cinemaserye” every Thursday night.
Baron will join Paolo Contis, Jennylyn Mercado, Yasmien Kurdi, Ryan Eigenmann and Nadine Samonte in the said 8-episode telemovie.

Ruffa Gutierrez revealed on The Buzz yesterday that her ex-husband Yilmaz Bektas has asked her many times to reconcile with him but she consistently declined. “He’s asked me that so many times in the last two years, more than 15 times and my answer is still the same…no,” Ruffa said. The actress added that she is glad Yilmaz respects her decision because what he’s asking is no simple request. “Kasi masyadong malalim ‘yung issue namin eh. Hindi ko pa rin nakakalimutan ‘yung mga nangyari.”
Ruffa also said that she already tried to save the relationship when their marriage was on the rocks but when she had taken Yilmaz into counseling but he was uncooperative. “I took him to counseling before.

When not acting or doing commercials, Maricar Reyes actually works as a doctor. But Maricar would rather keep her life as a general practitioner separate from the showbiz world. In an interview at the ABS-CBN Trade Launch last April 30, Maricar shared with ABS-CBN.com the fulfillment she gets from being a doctor. “There’s something different about when a sick person comes to you and then you give him something that makes him feel better. There’s no price for that.”
Maricar said that being an actress and being a doctor are both her dreams. When she was a child she would often stand in front of the mirror and imitate some scenes she would see on TV. When she learned that her brother earned big bucks after doing a commercial, she was enticed by the idea of appearing in front of the camera and getting paid.

Victor Aliwalas came to the Philippines in August of 2007 para lang magbakasyon. Prior to that, Victor’s only exposure to entertaining people is the one time na nag-model siya ng barong for his Filipino community in the States. So from just vacationing sa Pilipinas, paano napunta si Victor sa mundo ng show business?
“My parents, they’re part of a Fil-Am association back in the States, and we organize a lot of events there,” kuwento niya. “One of the [events] was a fashion show, and my mom [told me they] need models for barongs.” For Victor, wala naman daw kaso sa kanyang mag-model. “[But] the designer said, ‘If you were in the Philippines, you can be a model or an artista.’ But I thought they’re just making bola.” Read more..
