Quantum Films, Octo Arts Films and Star Cinema’s “Here Comes the Bride” topped the local box office race on the weekend of May 12 to 16, 2010.
According to third party tabulator, Box Office Mojo, “Here Comes the Bride” starring Angelica Panganiban, Eugene Domingo, John Lapuz, Tuesday Vargas and Jaime Fabregas scored a whopping P42.1 on its weekend debut on May 12 to 16, 2010.
The Chris Martinez comedy captured the no. 1 spot at the box office beating erstwhile leader, Iron Man 2, which settled in second place with P29.58 million gross. The Donyan-starrer, “You to Me are Everything” came in third with P23.43 million.
3 debuting Hollywood movies occupied the 4th to 6th position namely Robin Hood (P18 M), A Nightmare on Elm Street (2010) (P10.44 M) and The Last Song (P8.21) respectively.

Sen. Bong Revilla and Vic Sotto are finalizing negotiations for their first starrer together, to be titled Enteng Agimat, which is intended for the 2010 Metro Manila Film Festival.
The movie is a potential blockbuster considering that Bong’s and Vic’s starrers, Ang Panday and Ang Darling Kong Aswang, finished No. l and No. 2 grossers in the 2009 Metro Filmfest. Bong initially planned to do another Panday for this year’s Metro Filmfest but he scrapped it due to lack of time.
He’s set to start campaigning for reelection and, he said, “Maraming requirements ang pelikula and we won’t be able to meet the Metro Filmfest playdate.” With his and Bong’s joint project (presumably under their own companies, Bong’s Imus Productions and Vic’s M-ZET Productions in association with OctoArts Films as he did with Darling), Vic must be putting on hold his plan to do another Enteng Kabisote also for the 2010 Metro Filmfest. Like Panday, the Enteng franchise is a consistent Metro Filmfest moneymaker.

The Box Office Princess, Sarah Geronimo was too excited in her upcoming movie together with the Box Office Queen, Judy Ann Santos. For Sarah it is an extraordinary project.It is a big challenge for her as an actress because in this movie it focuses in drama and also she’s with Judy Ann. In her former movie, it focu
sed on a romantic-comedy. It is the first time she make a full time drama movie. According to her, “Medyo challenging bilang actress… Ay! Hindi pala medyo. Challenging talaga.”
Aside from the challenge of her acting career, one of the big challenge for Sarah in the said movie projects is to be with a great actress in its generation. “Blessing na naman from God na makatrabaho ko ang nag-iisang Judy Ann Santos,” she stated. Sarah was very thankful to the trust and support given by ABS-CBN and ASAP families. And also according to her, it is the best and memorable birthday gift in her life.
On the other hand, even Judy Ann Santos was excited to the project. She was sure that Sarah will enhance her acting talent in this movie. “I’m just hoping na yung konseptong mabigay samin ay maganda at maaappreciate ng mga tao” wishful thinking of Judy Ann; so that the multi-talented actress, Sarah will admire more by the public.
It is the time for Sarah, to faced this kind of challenge as an actress. A different challenge as a Box Office Princess. I wonder how Sarah look like in a heavy drama movie? What do you think?

Way back to Darna last 2005, we have seen how brilliant Dennis portrayed the role of Efren as Darna’s love interest (Angel Locsin). And now Darna’s return on TV wherein Marian Rivera will act the role of being Pinay superhero.Darna.
Dennis admitted that before he wished to play the role of Efren in Darna. But not now since these will be a new Darna whom is really different. He also had a movie in Regal film with Marian Rivera entitled “Tarot”.
And with regards to FHM sexiest women, he said that he is very proud to the two women who had been part of his life during the time they had been part of FHM.

Megastar Sharon Cuneta finally reacted to the issue that her eldest daughter KC Concepcion is reportedly “getting closer” to her new on-screen partner Piolo Pascual.
In an interview with “SNN: Showbiz News Ngayon,” Cuneta said she has nothing against anyone who gets closer to her daughter as long as KC will be treated with respect.
“(Sabi ko nga), anybody [who] threats my daughter with respect and who takes care of her is welcome in our home,” Cuneta said.
