With its two-part premiere this Wednesday and Thurday at 6pm, the biggest talent show in planet, the “American Idol” will be shown on QTV11 hosted by Ryan Seacrest..
To become the most star-studded season ever, American Idol 9 promises to have stars like Victoria Beckham, Neil Patrick Harris, Joe Jonas, Katy Perry, Mary J. Blige, Shania Twain, Avril Lavgine and Kristin Chenoweth appearing as guest judges during the audition period.
With judges Simon Cowell, Randy jackson and Kara DioGuardi, there will be an additional judges to them, Emmy awardee and recently awarded as People’s Choice Award winner Ellen Degeneres to sit alongside with them.
Some of the most funniest and memorable “idol” tryouts across the U.S.A. begins today Jan.13 with the Bostons auditions held at the Gillette Stadium. Tommorow, Jan.14, another audition episodes which features the Atlanta auditions held at the Georgia Dome. Other venues include Amway Arena, Orlando; Cowboys Stadium, Dallas; Rose Bowl, Los Angeles; and United Center , Chicago
Set to come back this season is “Idol Gives Back”, the fundraising concert which features some of the biggest stars in Hollywood.
Catch the two-part episodes of American Idol Season 9 airs tonight at 6 and 8pm and Jan. 14 at the same time on Q Channel 11!

Erick is so happy that he was chosen to work with Jim Brickman. He went to Los Angeles to record all the song to be included in the album “Erick Santos:The Jim Brickman Song Book”.
Some of the song included in the album is Jim Brickman’s Very popular song “Valentine and Destiny”.
Erick said that Jim Brickman is so kind, ” I really had a great time working with him”, Erick added. Erick learned a lot working with award winning American singer.
Jim Brickman will come to Philippines to join Erick in a one major concert.
I am so proud of Erick, that he’d be able to work with Jim Brickman. Erick not only conquer Philippines but all international. It’s not surprising because we all know that Erick is really a great singer. Filipino’s are really very talented , we don’t only excel in sports but also in singing and acting. “Iba talaga ang pinoy”.8

Charice Pempengco first seen in Liitle Big Star hosted by Sarah Geronimo, she was a potential contestant there. Although she was a consistent top scorer in the final rounds, she only finished in third place. Until she gained worldwide recognition after an avid supporter called ‘FalseVoice’ started posting videos of her onto YouTube.
She performed twice in The Oprah Winfrey Show. She also performed in Italy’s top rating show. And she almost leaves Italians breathless and was up on their feet dancing when she sang “I Will Survive.”

Regine Tolentino married at an early age of 18 to Lander Vera Perez. They’ve been married for 12 years already and blessed with two lovely daughters.
She is very visible on screen because of her GMA morning show Unang Hirit. She is also one of the choreographer for SOP. She is not just a good Dance instructor also an Entrepreneur/businesswoman. And, most important of all, a happy wife.
She managed to stay young and sexy at the age of 30 mainly because of her positive thinking and time management. Her husband now is currently working at DFA at Intel Division. They are both happy now with their respective choosen careers.
Regine is endorsing YSA Skin Care Center which took care of her skin and give her a fresh, young ang looking sexy even at the age of 30. She also said that No matter how busy you are (career & family) be sure not to forget to take care of yourself. Love yourself first.

Charice Pempengco became an International singing star when she’s been a guest at the Oprah Winfrey’s show and the Ellen DeGeneres show.
Charice will be appearing on the popular musical variety show “Ti lascio una canzone (I’m Leaving a Song for You)”. More over, she will also be guesting in ‘Rai Uno’ – the highest rated show in Italy. Mrs. Pempengco also said that Charice was the sole guest for that special episode.
Charice has launched her first international hit single “Note to God” and it was top one song in iTunes and Amazon.com.

Richard Poon is known for being a jazz singer. He is Taiwanese but was born and grew up here in the Philippines. He gained his musical talent from his mother, Eva Huang, who is a famous superstar in Taiwan.
He is the first jazz musician who entered in the music industry. He relates that he loves competition and he really welcomes other artists to enter the local scene. He also said that competition would make him realize not to be too arrogant and stay humble. Read more here.

Sharon Cuneta is the one and only “Megastar”. She is a brilliant singer, excellent television host and award-winning actress. She had a series of shows in the US and the first one is in Las Vegas, Nevada.
KC Concepcion, her daughter, served as a special guest. Her husband, Sen. Kiko Pangilinan as well as their two daughters are there to show support.
The show in Vegas was a success and it proved indeed that Sharon will remain in the hearts of the Filipinos- here and abroad.

Aling Dionisia, who is considered as one of the Philippines most famous mother celebrity today, is our pambansang kamao’s mother. She is being intrigued to have a romantic involvement with her dance instructor. That is one of the reasons why she wants to quit showbiz. The other one is that his son, Manny Pacquiao, doesn’t want her to enter but just to do some commercials.
She celebrated her 60th birthday last week and it was a star-studded one. And as she says, it was a dream come true for her. All of what she has right now is because of her son Manny, who is the World Boxing Champion.

In early 2008, YG confirmed that Sandara will be part of YG’s new girl group which the female counter of Big Bang. They are now known as 2NE1. “2NE1″ has 4 members which are CL(leader),Park Bom, Sandara Park,Gong Minji.
Sandara took part in a CM song ‘Lollipop’ together with Big Bang before their debut, and their debut title song ‘Fire’ has occupied the first place in various online music charts, aggregating many hot topics.

Erik said there have been offers for him to act, but he has turned it down because he is still not confident to venture into acting yet.

Kamikazee 3rd album
Kamikazee finally got their much long-awaited 3rd album released as “Long Time Noisy.” These people are just ‘crazy-head-racking-soul-deranging‘ music maniacs and fans will just go out of their way to hold of this! Well, artistry comes in blends of chaotic harmony isn’t it?

Ilang oras matapos ang back-to-back concert nina David Archuleta at David Cook noong May 16, 2009, sa SM Mall of Asia Concert Grounds, nagpahiwatig ng pasasalamat ang first runner-up ng American Idol season 7 na si David Archuleta sa pamamagitan ng kanyang video blog na makikita sa YouTube.
Makikita sa video na halos kadarating lang niya sa kanilang hotel matapos ang concert nang ginawa niya ito. Ang bungad ni David, “It was unbelievable to see all the people there [were] so incredible. SINGER Nyoy Volante on Sunday denied accusations of former girlfriend Nina that he still has debt to the female singer.
Nyoy, in a television interview, said that he does not owe Nina any amount, insisting that he already settled everything he borrowed from the soul siren before.

David Archuleta and David Cook
“American Idol” champion David Cook disgruntled some of his Filipino fans by excluding “The Time Of My Life” in his Manila concert set list last May 16.
“The Time Of My Life” was the coronation song of “American Idol” Season 7 which Cook won. The song went as high as number three in the US Billboard charts and became an even bigger hit in Canada (#2) and in the Philippines (#1).
Instead, Cook performed a barrage of unreleased tracks from his self-titled album that left the crowd lethargic. Songs from “Analog Heart,” an album he released during his pre-“Idol” days, made the crowd even more listless.
“We’re playing songs you’ve never heard before,” Cook explained, noticing the lull. “Is that okay?”
The only familiar songs from Cook that night were “Light On” (first single off “Cook”) and his remake of “Always Be My Baby” (originally by Mariah Carey).

I haven’t watched their concert but as far as I know It was successful and entertaining. Eventhough Mr. Cook didn’t sing the song The Time of my life which is also the song for coronation night of A.I season 7.

And that’s how Pacman prefers to be identified now that he is determined to venture into another ring — the political ring. In 2007, he ran for Congressman in his native GenSan and lost to Darlene Custodio, Ang Dating Kampeon. In 2010, Pacman is deadset on running again for the same position, this time in Sarangani, never mind if well-meaning fans and admirers are advising him against it because they’d rather see him where he should be — in boxing, whether in action or, eventually, as trainer of would-be champs — and not somewhere else. When not acting or doing commercials, Maricar Reyes actually works as a doctor. But Maricar would rather keep her life as a general practitioner separate from the showbiz world. In an interview at the ABS-CBN Trade Launch last April 30, Maricar shared with ABS-CBN.com the fulfillment she gets from being a doctor. “There’s something different about when a sick person comes to you and then you give him something that makes him feel better. There’s no price for that.”
Maricar said that being an actress and being a doctor are both her dreams. When she was a child she would often stand in front of the mirror and imitate some scenes she would see on TV. When she learned that her brother earned big bucks after doing a commercial, she was enticed by the idea of appearing in front of the camera and getting paid.
