When not acting or doing commercials, Maricar Reyes actually works as a doctor. But Maricar would rather keep her life as a general practitioner separate from the showbiz world. In an interview at the ABS-CBN Trade Launch last April 30, Maricar shared with ABS-CBN.com the fulfillment she gets from being a doctor. “There’s something different about when a sick person comes to you and then you give him something that makes him feel better. There’s no price for that.”
Maricar said that being an actress and being a doctor are both her dreams. When she was a child she would often stand in front of the mirror and imitate some scenes she would see on TV. When she learned that her brother earned big bucks after doing a commercial, she was enticed by the idea of appearing in front of the camera and getting paid.

I dreamed of something like this a long time ago. Sharon Cuneta was then 18 years old and beautifully pregnant with the baby who would grow up to be the gorgeous KC Concepcion. I thought then, wouldn’t it be nice if the still to be Megastar would be able to record an album of lullabies?
But as we all know that did not happen. Instead we ended up working on the soundtrack of the motion picture Bituing Walang Ningning. Two months before KC was born, Sharon broke box-office records with the movie that also starred Cherie Gil and Christopher de Leon. Along with the blockbuster can a big hit album with cuts from the movie soundtrack. The songs have since turned into classics and continue to sell up to now.

Sharon Cuneta has a good heart and she deserve every blessing that God gives to her. Aside from her famous songs like “Bituing Walang Ningning”, “Dear Heart” ,etc. She had also a songs for all children and she has this sweet voice that seems to have been made for lullabies and play rhymes..

Billy Crawford just returned from a two-month US concert tour with Sarah Geronimo, Mark Bautista, and Charlie Green. At the ABS-CBN Trade Launch last April 30 where Billy was the opening act, he told ABS-CBN.com about the concerts they held in various US cities. “Madaming tao ang nanood. We performed in 13 cities: San Francisco, San Diego, Seattle, Washington D.C., New Jersey, Las Vegas, Reno, madami pa. I think lahat ng show na ‘yun sold out. Nakakatuwa ‘yung mga tao. Nag-enjoy kami doing the tour.”
ABS-CBN.com also couldn’t help but ask Billy if he missed Nikki Gil during the two months that he was away. “Of course na-miss ko siya. During that time we usually text or email each other. I believe you have to keep communicating while you are away from each other. Mahirap to lose touch.” Billy was unable to attend Nikki’s college graduation since he was in the US. “Sayang wala ako nung graduation niya. Pero nagpadala naman ako surprise message para sa kanya, may kasamang flowers.”

International artist Lea Salonga has refused to take sides on the issue involving Martin Nievera.
Nievera has been the subject of criticisms following his “incorrect” rendition of the Philippine national anthem during the Manny Pacquiao and Ricky Hatton bout in Las Vegas last May 2.

The cutie 2008 “American Idol” runner-up David Archuleta said he’d like to meet Regine Velasquez upon his arrival yesterday.He arrived separately with Season 7 winner David Cook. The two Davids are holding a back-to-back concert at the SM Mall of Asia on Saturday, May 16. Producer Fearless Promotions cancelled the scheduled media statement due to the unruly crowd.

Since bagging the first runner-up position in the first Philippine Idol, Jan Nieto, with his distinctive baritone-tenor voice, balladeer packaging and very Filipino looks, has steadily risen in the world of entertainment.
Nieto (a Management Engineering graduate of the Ateneo de Manila University) used to work as part of a team that implements the advertising and marketing campaigns of a multi-national company, but his dream of being a singer was constantly on his mind. “SOP” Acoustic singer Chris Cayzer faces a busy schedule ahead of him for this coming month. Aside from his regular appearances in GMA 7’s top-rating “SOP” as part of the rock/acoustic Broband with Dennis Trillo and Aljur Abenica, Chris is in the recording studio finishing his forthcoming album.
The album will feature his compositions as well as songs from fellow artists Viktoria and Ogie Alcasid. Chris is also busy with his gigs and out-of-town appearances. Read more..

On Monday night, exactly 365 days ahead of the actual elections next year, at least 20 Filipino artists, from different generations and genre, clamored for a “revolution” at the Music Museum.
They danced, sang and performed to put across their longing for change and for a better government in a concert dubbed as “365 Days To Change…Todo Na ‘To!”

Did Jennylyn Mercado?
When asked the question, Jennylyn’s talent manager Becky Aguila and her “I Am Woman” director/publicist Calvin Neria did not answer.
But Jennylyn got sick and her voice was affected. Her doctor advised not to talk for the time being, leading to the postponement of the original “I Am Woman” presscon last Tuesday. It was reset for Saturday which she also did not attend. Nobody knew where she was, not even her surrogate mother. Jennylyn Mercado was the 1st Ultimate Female Survivor of Starstruck ( Season1). She has a son with her ex-boyfriend Patrick Garcia. It seems that she is very problematic now. I hope that she will be fine soon and can make more projects.

“We can make a change.”
Singer-composer Yeng Constantino made this statement ahead of the “365 Days to Change…Toda Na ‘To” concert at the Music Museum Monday night. Constantino is part of the concert that aims to encourage the youth to vote wisely in next year’s elections.
“Kung lahat ng kabataan ay magsasama-sama para dito at bumuo kami ng isang desisyon na ito ang move namin. Kailangan natin mag-isip. Vote wisely talaga,” the 20-year-old singer told ABS-CBN News.
