ABSCBN’s News and Current Affairs division and TV Entertainment Group will join force to give us a new reality show on Philippine TV, “I DARE YOU,” which is set to change the views and lives of famous and ordinary Kapamilya starting today, July 11, 2011 before “Mula sa Puso”.
Hosted by Award winning actor Jericho Rosales, Versatile host-actress Iya Villania and comedy Princess Melai Cantiveros, “I DARE YOU” will test the resilience and determination of Celebrity Kapamilya challengers, who will carry-out a series of challenges in order to help win a reward for ordinary Filipinos
“Ang ‘I Dare You’ ay original concept ng ABS-CBN. Dito ipapakita kung ano ang realidad ng buhay,” Jericho said in the press conference held Last July 7, 2011 in Tomas Morato.
“Aabangan ‘yong mga Bida Kapamilya at ang mga challengers na susuungin ang hirap ng buhay na pinagdadaanan ng mga unknown heroes,” Iya added.
“I Dare You”, a joint project of ABS-CBN’s News and Current Affairs Division and the TV Entertainment Group, will challenge celebrities to carry out tasks in order to help win a reward for ordinary Filipinos worthy of the title, “Bidang Kapamilya.”
The “Bidang Kapamilya” are Pinoys who bravely face life’s challenges no matter how hard they get, such as market vendors, teachers in far-flung areas, laborers, stuntmen, garbage and junk collectors, farmers, senior citizens, and people with disability, among others.
Celebrity Kapamilya challengers will enter their world and experience their lives firsthand to understand their way of life. They will also try to help them by winning a prize for them in the challenge.
In the first episode of “I Dare You,” popular dancer and theater actor Gab Valenciano and multi-awarded actress Alessandra De Rossi will join Jericho Rosales as he goes back to his roots in Marikina, where he carried heavy loads and sold fish in a wet market prior to joining showbiz.
