ABS-CBN has confirmed that Angel Locsin would no longer be part of fantaserye “Kokey@Ako.”
Locsin was pulled out from the project to do another teleserye with John Lloyd Cruz.
In an interview during the “Kokey@Ako” pictorial, lead star Vhong Navarro told ABS-CBN.com that he completely understands the decision of the management. Angel will do a soap with John Loyd soon at Kapamilya. Vhong’s happy with the decision and trusted the management for their own good.
Toni Gonzaga has stepped in to take over the role that Angel Locsin has left. “Kahit na nawala si Angel, naging happy naman ako kasi si Toni ‘yong pumalit. Bestfriend ko ‘yan si Toni. Ang dami naming pinagsamahan na project, gamay na namin ang isa’t isa. First time nga lang na magte-teleserye kami.”,Vhong Navarro said.

Manila, Philippines, ABS-CBN star Angel Locsin said she is not open to being courted by 2009 CNN “Hero of the Year” Efren Peñaflorida at the moment.
In an interview, Locsin said that she and Peñaflorida are just good friends. ” Iki-clear ko lang ‘yon. Hindi ako nagpapaligaw. Right now, we are good friends,” Locsin added.
Meanwhile, Locsin is reportedly back on speaking terms with ex-boyfriend Luis Manzano. She said this is one of the reasons why she has graciously declined to be courted by Peñaflorida.
I don’t want to entertain Luis while I’m entertaining others. I don’t want to lead on someone who is making an effort,” Locsin said.
“Hindi naman kami nagmamadali pero hindi naman maalis kung gaano ka-special sa akin si Luis. Pero right now ayaw ko munang pumasok sa relationship,” Locsin said.
Manzano was lukewarm to Peñaflorida’s plans to woo his ex-girlfriend. He stated, however, that he respects Peñaflorida’s work as a social worker who teaches out-of-school youth through his “Pushcart Classes” project.

Jessie Mendiola was best known for her stint at Your Song Presents Boystown,she was also a Star Magic Star. Jessie shared to ABS-CBN.com that she was going to be a part of Kokey @ ako which is the most anticipated teleseryes of ABS-CBN in 2010.
She said,“Nalaman ko two months ago. Nagulat na lang ako nung sinabi sa akin ng handler ko na ‘Jessie standby for Kokey.’ ‘Oh my gosh, Kokey? Magandang opportunity ito for me.’ Alam ko kasing malaki din ang naging following nito sa kids noon.Ang laki ng ratings nung part one ‘di ba? Na-curious ako agad kung anong magiging takbo ng story at sinong ka-love team ko. And I’m really happy na it’s a wholesome show,”. She seems really excited on the teleserye with new roles of being a brat, she also met Ms.Angel Locsin on the meeting and reveals her impression to the one of the hottest stars in the Philippines.
“She’s really nice kasi hindi naman kami nagkawork pa before, hindi kami close. But then she approached me and she introduced herself, so nagulat ako. She was like, ‘Hi I’m Angel’ and she made beso. Then I said, ‘Hi, I’m Jessie po.’ Sabi niya, ‘Hey you’re here pala.’ So parang I felt at ease kasi napakabait pala niya. And the others I met na during the recent trade launch tapos I’ve worked with Direk Wenn (Deramas) sa Volta so masaya lang talaga lahat,” she beamed.
Jessie is so excited with Kokey @ ako teleserye this coming 2010 with her love interest Enrique Gil. She is playing the role of the sister of the kind-hearted scientist played by DJ Duran.

Ilang buwang nanahimik at tumangging magbigay ng pahayag si Angel Locsin sa napabalitang breakup nila ng boyfriend niyang si Luis Manzano at iba pang mga isyu tungkol sa kanya. Until finally, nagpaunlak na siya ng interview sa PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) at iba pang manunulat pagkatapos ng live guesting niya sa The Buzz last Sunday, October 25.
Once and for all, break na nga ba sila ni Luis?
“Oo, wala na kami. Mga apat na buwan na,” malungkot na sabi ni Angel.
Totoo ba na may third party involved sa hiwalayan nila ni Luis?
“Huwag na. Hindi na ako magbibigay ng ibang detalye. Tama nang nasabi ko na yun. Si Luis nga, hindi nagko-comment sa nangyayaring ito sa amin. So, respetuhin na lang natin. Kung siya nga hindi nagsasalita, ako, ayoko na ring magsalita,” paliwanag ng aktres.
May communication pa rin ba sila ni Luis after the breakup?
“Meron naman. Nag-uusap, pero may time na hindi. Ganun.”
Posible ba na magkabalikan sila ni Luis?
“Mahirap magsalita. Kasi hindi naman natin masabi kung puwede talagang mangyari ‘yon,” sagot ni Angel.

Isa sa tatlong matitinding sorpresa sa advance birthday celebration ni Boy Abunda sa The Buzz last Sunday, October 25, ang live guesting ni Angel Locsin sa show. Sa October 29 pa ang birthday ng King of Talk pero nagsilbing maagang regalo ang muling pagharap ni Angel kay Boy para sa isang madibdibang interview.
Matatandaang kalilipat lang ni Angel from GMA-7 to ABS-CBN noong August 2007 at ipinagkatiwala niya ang kanyang kauna-unahang panayam bilang Kapamilya sa The Buzz. Ang una niyang nakaharap, iniyakan at nakausap nang masinsinan sa telebisyon ay si Boy. Mula noon, isang magandang samahan na may tiwala at respeto ang nabuo sa pagitan ng aktres at ng TV host.
Sa bawat kontrobersiyang kinasasangkutan, sa bawat isyung ipinupukol sa kanya, laging may soft spot sa puso ni Angel para sa kanyang Tito Boy. At noong Linggo ay naganap nga ang kanilang muling paghaharap.

Angel Locsin stars the Pinoy version of “Only You” with Sam Milby and Diether Ocampo. The show is ranked among the network’s Primetime Bida.
She is now considered “Primetime Queen”. But then, Angel said that what is more important is that the cast and production staff is doing better for the show.She also said that she doesn’t want to claim the title because she does not deserve that for now. She is happy that the viewers are happy with the show and have appreciated their efforts. Furthermore, she is thankful for her fans in their continuous support.

Toni Gonzaga is one of the most versatile and bankable actresses of ABS-CBN. She is a multimedia artist. She can act, sing, dance and host. Last week, she signed a two-year contract with ABS-CBN. This contract signing has stopped the rumors about her transfer to the rival network, GMA. According to the rumors, she will transfer because her career is threathened by other actresses namely Angel Locsin, Sarah Geronimo and KC Concepcion.
Toni relates that there was never an issue between the actresses mentioned. She is very grateful and excited of still being a Kapamilya.The contract involves projects for Toni such as a hosting stint for Pinoy Big Brother seasons 4,5 and 6. She would also have a ‘teleserye’ and a movie. She has regular shows like Entertainment Live! and ASAP.
She is currently doing an episode of Precious Heart Romances with Derek Ramsay. She recounts that she is not yet comfortable doing intimate scenes and very thankful for their director, Direk Wenn Deramas, for focusing on the comic side of the story.

Arron Villaflor considers himself to be one of the lucky few who is able to join the newest all-male teen dance group dubbed as the Giggerboys. Though he has been in showbiz for several years now, he believes that being grouped with Enchong Dee, Robi Domingo, AJ Perez, Sam Concepcion, Dino Imperial, and Chris Gutierrez is a big boost to his career. “Of course nabuhayan ulit si Aaron after U Can Dance Version 2. It was a very strong debut for ABS-CBN’s newest primetime series, Only You, starring Diether Ocampo, Sam Milby, and Angel Locsin. Only You premiered last night, April 27, with a whopping 39.2 percent to place second behind top-rater May Bukas Pa, which got 40.1 percent.
Occupying the rest of the Top 5 slots are TV Patrol World (32.9 percent), Tayong Dalawa (31.4 percent), and 24 Oras (27.9 percent).

Sam Milby wasn’t able to attend the presscon of Only You since he just got back from a successful concert tour of the Heartthrobs in the US with Piolo Pascual, John Lloyd Cruz, Bea Alonzo and Pokwang. ABS-CBN.com bumped into Sam sa ASAP ’09 and he was accommodating enough to answer questions. “Successful ang concert namin doon, lalo na sa New Jersey at sa Illinois, ang daming pinoy talaga.” People also gave positive comments about Sam for being the most accommodating among the artists at siya ang pinagkaguluhan ng fans. Any comment about that? “Ah, yeah? Kasi, whenever people approach me naman for pa-picture or autograph signing, I give it to them. Kaya siguro sinasabi nilang ganoon ako.”
On the other hand, Sam feels excited and thrilled with Only You, dahil ito ang una niyang project na hindi heavy drama. In preparation for her upcoming Koreanovela show. Actress, Angel Locsin recently indulged herself into a new passion which is cooking. Aside from her busy schedule she really tries her best to know more about cooking.
It was a different Angel Locsin who met the entertainment press recently at the Dolphy Theater in the old ABS-CBN building. For one, before the usual interview portion, she showcased her culinary skills. In full view of everyone who attended the presscon, Angel prepared a rice dish called “Aligue Bibimpop,” which was really malasa according to those who tasted it.

Angel Locsin, Diether Ocampo and Sam Milby’s “Only You” replaces Bea Alonzo and John Lloyd Cruz’s “I Love Betty La” Fea this coming Monday, April 27. This is Angel’s first project with Diether and the second drama appearance with Sam as they had worked in a “Malaala Mo Kaya” episode. Before “Only You,” Angel starred with Piolo Pascual in the much-loved drama/fantasy series “Lobo” and they did the Star Cinema’s full-length feature “Love Me Again.”
Angel is Chef Jillian, a very stubborn and proud girl who has a passion for cooking in the Philippine version of the hit Korean drama series “Only You.” Diether is Jonathan, Jillian’s high school friend who loves her dearly and shares her passion for cooking. Actress Angel Locsin revealed that her birthday gift to her boyfriend, actor and host Luis Manzano, was a pair of Korean shoes. Manzano just turned 28 years old Tuesday, April 21.
Locsin, who is busy promoting and taping for her upcoming television series “Only You” with Diether Ocampo and Sam Milby, said that she bought the shoes while she was in Korea taping for the said series.

After Bea Alonzo revealed the real reason of her break-up with ex-boyfriend Mico Palanca, she further opened up about how she struggled to become one of the most admired young actresses in the biz today. I taught Diet a few basic Korean words before he flew to the Land of the Morning Calm, since I spent many summers and winters there many kimchi jars ago.

Host and actor Luis Manzano belied reports that he disclosed his intimate moments with actress Angel Locsin during one of his visits to the gym.
“SNN: Showbiz News Ngayon” reported that Manzano strongly denied the allegation. Manzano pointed out that he would only talk about Locsin and their activities but not their private affair.
“No, I wouldn’t do that. I’d talk about her, yes — kung nasaan siya, anong ginagawa niya pero something private, why would I share it with someone sa gym? Ni hindi ko nga sila kamag-anak,” the actor said.
