Marian Rivera’s wish to see her father was finally granted

Ilang araw na ang lumipas mula nang dumating si Marian Rivera at ang kasintahan nitong si Dingdong Dantes mula sa kanilang walong araw na bakasyon sa Spain. Dinalaw ni Marian doon ang kanyang Spanish father na si Francisco Javier Gracia na pitong taon na niyang hindi nakikita.

Sa panayam ni John “Sweet” Lapus kay Marian para sa Showbiz Central ay isiniwalat ng aktres ang kanyang nararamdaman sa muli nilang pagkikita ng kanyang ama.

“Enjoy lang ako. Happy ako kasi natupad na rin yung pangarap ko na makita yung Papa ko. Yun lang, okey na ako dun,” sabi ni Marian.

Tanong ni Sweet si Marian kung ano ang naging reaction ng Papa niya na ngayon ay isa na na siyang sikat na artista sa Pilipinas?

“Isa lang ang sinabi niya sa akin, na nakumpleto ang buong pagkatao niya noong makita niya ako,” sagot niya.

Tinanong din ni Sweet si Marian tungkol sa napabalita na namanhikan na raw si Dingdong sa kanyang ama nang magpunta sila sa Spain.

“Ano ba, nagpunta ako dun para sa Papa ko at hindi sa kung anu-anong bagay!” natatawang sabi ni Marian

May nabalita kasing may engagement nang naganap sa Spain?

“Me ganun?” tawa niya ulit. “Ano ba, hindi ‘no! At saka importante para sa akin yun, so bakit ko itatago, di ba?”

Malapit nang mapanood muli ng kanilang mga tagahanga sina Marian at Dingdong dahil sisimulan na nila ang shooting ng kanilang pelikula para sa GMA Films at ang taping ng Endless Love para sa Kapuso network.

Nagsagupa nitong Martes ang apat na Honor Guards ng pumanaw na si dating Pangulong Cory Aquino, at mga kamag-anak nito sa nangungunang game show sa GMA 7 na Family Feud.

Personal din nag-cheer ang actress-host na si Kris Aquino-Yap sa loob ng studio habang pinapanood ang mga kapatid na sina Pinky Aquino Abellada at Ballsy Aquino-Cruz, at mga pamangkin na sina Jiggy Aquino Cruz at Miguel Abellada.

Nakatanggali ng mga Aquino ang mga Honor Guard ni Cory na sina Police Officer 2 Edgardo Rodriguez, Private First Class Antonio Cadiente, Airman 2nd Class Gener Laguindam, Seaman 1st Class Gilbert Atienza.

Si Atienza ang kumatawan ni Police Officer 1 Danilo Malab Jr., na hindi nakadalo sa Family Feud dahil nakadestino sa malayong lugar.

Sinabi ni Kris sa host ng Family Feud na si Dingdong Dantes, na nais sana niyang maglaro ngunit hindi siya pinayagan.

“I really wanted to play but I was not allowed. But your doing such a wonderful job,” pahayag ni Kris kay Dingdong na tinawag niyang “most good looking game show host.”

Idinagdag ng actress-host na ang pagsali nila sa show ay pagpapakita ng labis na pasasalamat kay Dingdong na kabilang sa mga artistang sumusuporta sa kandidatura ng kanyang kapatid na si Sen Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III, tumatakbong pangulo sa darating na May elections.

Sa isinagawang tunggalian, nanalo ang Aquino family sa first at third round. Ngunit humabol ang Fantastic 4 Family na nanalo sa second at fourth round na naging susi nila para umabante sa jackpot round.

Sina Rodriguez at Atienza ang kumatawan sa Fantastic 4 Family para sa “fast money” na may nakalaang papremyo na P150,000.

Bagaman naging mababa ang puntos na nakuha ni Rodriguez sa jackpot round, bumawi naman si Atienza na nakuha ang dalawa sa “top answers” para maabot ang kinakailangang puntos at makuha ang P150,000 jackpot price.

Naghahanda na sina Dingdong Dantes at Marian Rivera sa pagbisita sa Spain para bisitahin ang ama ng dalaga. Mauwi kaya ito sa pamamanhikan ng aktor?

Sinabi ni entertainment reporter Lhar Santiago na visa na lang ang hinihintay ni Dingdong para matiyak ang pagpunta nila ni Marian sa Spain. Sa nabanggit na bansa naninirahan ang ama ng dalaga na ilang taon na rin niyang hindi nadadalaw.

Kapag tinanong umano si Dingdong kung hahantong ba sa pamamanhikan ang naturang pagpunta sa Spain, tawa lang ang isinasagot ng binata.

Ngunit bago sa Spain, sa Dubai na muna ang magpupunta ang dalawa sa Pebrero 1 para mag-guest sa concert doon nina Regine Velasquez at Ogie Alcasid na inisponsor ng GMA Pinoy TV.

“Balak talaga namin ‘yon (magpunta sa Spain) pero hanggang ngayon wala pang mga necessary documents, so hangga’t hindi ko pa hawak ‘yon hindi ko masasabing siguradong-sigurado na,” paliwanag ni Dingdong sa Chika Minute ng GMA news 24 Oras nitong Martes.

Ayon sa ulat, minsan na ring nakausap ni Dingdong ang ama ni Marian nang magkausap minsan sa telepono ang mag-ama. Sinabi ng binata na nagkamustahan sila: “Kasi siyempre unang pagkakakila, kumbaga the focus really was on their conversation ng mag-ama. Kumbaga ako aksidente lang ako, mas importante yung pag-uusap nila.”

Ngunit bago sila mangibang bansa, aasikasuhin muna nina Dingdong at Marian ang fund raising event para sa itinayong YesPinoy Foundation ng aktor. Isang fun run ang inorganisa ng binata na gagawin sa katapusan ng Enero sa The Fort, Taguig City.

Lately Marian and Dingdong were reported doing “public display of affection” at Marian’s birthday party. Just recent the two were seen having a kissing scene in the taping of birthday TV special, Dantes Peak, last Friday, August 21, at Studio 7 of GMA Network Studios. But before any rumored come out Marian reason out that it was part of the show.

Together with the female trio La Diva (Jonaly Viray, Aicelle Santos, and Maricris Garcia) singing the romantic ’70s song “Can You Read My Mind,” Dingdong and Marian performed an interpretative number that ended with a kiss.

Dingdong Dantes is one of the country’s successful actor today. Dingdong is one of the top Kapuso Network leading man. As reported, Dingdong again goes back to ABS-CBN compound last July 27,2009 for one reason.
“Lilipat na kaya ng istasyon ang aktor?”
But before any news comeout, Dingdong answered the reasons why he is in the ABS-CBN compund. According to Dingdong he was on ABS-CBN for the taping of MYX because he was a guest celebrity VJ for the month of August.
Dingdong will be the guest host from August 9,2009 to August 22,2009 which has a connection to the promotion of his music-video album entitled The Dingdong Dantes Experience.

Upon arriving to ABS-CBN, Dingdong proceed at the 4th floor of Talent Center Building for MYX taping. Although it was clear that the actor was not signing any contract to ABS-CBN there are some fans who saw Dingdong asking him why he was in the ABS-CBN compound. The actor was only smiling to the fans calling him.

When the ABS-CBN reporters knew that Dingdong was in the station, question was asked to Dingdong and he was nice answering questions. One is “Hindi ba siya natatakot na magkita sila ni Karylle?”. Dingdong answered “Hindi naman,wala namang dapat ikatakot o iwasan. So, no problem.” Another question asked, what he will tell to Karylle in case they meet. Actor just answered “Nice place you got here.”
According to Dingdong it was a new experience for him to tape for MYX as VJ and he knows he will learn a lot.

Karylle is the daughter of Zsa Zsa Padilla. She is a singer and model. Karylle has learned a lot from her much publicized break-up with Dingdong Dantes. She realized that she can decide for herself now and doesn’t need the ‘go’ signal of her man.
