Gerald Anderson : I’ve Improved, But I Have A Long Way To Go

Gerald Anderson is the main actor in the show “Budoy”. “Napakalaking stepping stone niyan para sa akin dahil mas nakilala na ako as an actor, instead of a leading man or part of a love team. I’m just really happy”, he said.

He admits that he felt pressured in playing the role as Budoy and doing an “advocacy-serye”, which he considers his breakthrough performance. He’s happy also because the TV drama helped him to improve his craft. “Naramdaman ko yung improvement pero mas marami at malayo pa ang gusto kong marating. I can’t call myself a good actor kasi ang dami ko pang gustong gawin”, he said.

The TV show “Budoys” will be end on Friday, March 8. “Mixed emotions kasi patapos na pero sobrang masaya rin kasi alam po namin na na-meet na namin yung goal na gusto naming mangyari bago mastart yung show, which is magbigay ng inspirasyon sa mga tao”, Gerald said.

Gerald celebrates his 23^rd birthday with the foundations he supports, Cancer Warriors and Cottolengo Filipino. He’s been helping the foundation Cancer Warriors since he started his career in showbiz, while the Cottolengo Filipino is where he had an immersion for “Budoy.”

“I’m just happy na for 23 years, I was blessed by Papa God. Sana mas marami pang blessings para mas ma-share ko rin sa mga nangangailangan. Yun yung pinakamasarap na feeling. Sana marami pa kaming chances na magkasama,” Gerald said.

His friendship with Sarah Geronimo has become talk of the town these past weeks. Gerald surprised Sarah again in her Show “Sarah G Live” last Sunday, March 4, the pop princess sang “All of my Life” while they held hands.

Gerald said, “Na-surprise po talaga siya. Hindi po niya talaga alam ‘yon. Nag-decide ako na mag-surprise ako the day itself. Sobrang special ng Sunday na iyon for me”.

Gerald denied that they have a relationship. “Friends kami. Kasi masaya naman ako kung ano yung nararamdaman ko para sa kanya kapag magkasama kami. Okay na iyon. Hindi naman kailangang lagyan ng label. At least hindi promo-promo dahil wala naman kaming dapat i-promote. Pero we’re just enjoying each other’s company. Like I said, kung ano ‘yung inspirasyon or feelings na binibigay niya sa akin, ie-enjoy ko muna iyon,”Gerald said.

Gerald was happy right now the way Sarah inspires him and they want to enjoy the friendship they have now. They don’t want to rush everything between them.“Hindi naman kami nagmamadali. Katulad nga po ng sinabi ko, kung friendship lang ang makukuha ko, okay na okay sa akin iyon. Sapat na po ‘yung inspirasyon na binibigay niya sa akin. I’m very happy and I’m happy sa mga nangyayari sa kanya,” Gerald shared.

Sarah Geronimo And Gerald Anderson Had A Date On Yacht

Sarah Geronimo has given a chance to have her own musical variety show (Sarah G Live). It started last Sunday February 26, 2012. She gave the audience a wonderful opening number, after it she gave an opening greeting to the audience: “Magandang gabi ulit sa inyong lahat! I love you all!”.”This is it! Woohoo! Una po sa lahat, taos pusong akong nagpapasalamat sa inyong lahat for being here at pag welcome sa first episode ng Sarah G Live.”

She also said, “Dream come true po talaga ito. Asahan nyo po na lalo kong gawing special ang Sunday night family bonding ninyo.”

Luis Manzano is the co-host of Sarah in her musical variety show, she described Luis as “Pambansang Lucky Charm.”

Her special guest for the pilot episode was Derek Ramsay, Sarah described her as “hottest hunk in town”.
SIGE GO ADVENTURE ON A YACHT. Sarah explained what is the Sige Go,“Yung Sige Go, itong ang chance ko na magawa at ma-experience yung mga gusto kong gawin dati pa…mga adventures na gustong gawin. Tulad ng una naming ginawa: ang mag-cruise sakay ang isang yacht! Feeling rich!”

She invited the viewer to join her to her first adventure while Sarah was busy in shooting, Gerald Anderson was in the yacht and said to the viewers, “Nandito ako ngayon sa napaka romantic na Manila Bay dahil may gusto akong i-surprise, siyempre, siya si Baby Girl, si Sarah Geronimo.”

Sarah did not know that Gerald was inside the yacht. When Sarah entered the yacht, she was surprised when she saw Gerald was there.Gerald said to Sarah, “Welcome to my yacht. Meron akong post-Valentine date para sa iyo.” Sarah reply was, “Ayoko nga sabi nun, e!”

Sarah asked Gerald while sitting down for meal, “Kamusta naman ang estado ng puso mo ngayon?”Gerald reply, “Okay naman, steady lang siya ngayon. Masaya naman.”

Gerald also asked Sarah about her love life then Sarah answered, “Masaya kasi okay na”. He also asked Sarah to rate her happiness, she said, “Nine out of ten kasi kumpleto naman ang pamilya ko. Healthy ang bawat isa saka blessed ako sa career ko. Nakakakilala ako ng mga bagong kaibigan at isa ka na doon.”

The two also do videoke. Sarah said that they have similarities in terms of music.

Sarah asked Gerald to choose a song that would describe how he felt at that time, Gerald held Sarah’s hand as he sang the line: “You are so beautiful to me…”. Sarah chose the song “If I Was the One” for their duet. While Sarah kept on looking for another song choice in a songbook Gerald started singing the song. Then Sarah suddenly said, “Hanap lang ako, babe.”

Gerald stopped singing and asked Sarah: “Anong sabi mo?”

Sarah said that the word ‘babe’ came from the lyrics of the song but Gerald insisted, “Walang ‘babe’ diyan!” As Sarah tried to cover up her embarrassment she kept on pushing and joking around with Gerald.

After they sang, they both sat down for dinner, Gerald ask Sarah about the qualities that she is looking for in a guy. Sarah reply, “Basta mahal ako. Basta respectful. Kahit hindi kasing gwapo mo. Delikado po ang mga ganitong mukha kasi chick boy.”

Gerald commented, “Porke’t may itsura ang lalaki, chick boy na agad?”
Sarah explained, “Hindi ka may itsura. Gwapo ka. You’re beautiful.”
Gerald described her as “Ikaw si Ms. Very Beautiful Girl in the World. Alam mo namang totoo yun, e.”
Sarah smiled and kept on saying, “Shut up!”

Ate Shawie is the Newest Kapatid

Megastar Sharon Cuneta’s transfer from ABS-CBN to TV5 has long been an issue which Megastar neither confirmed nor denied. Yesterday, November 22, 2011, the issue was proved to be right as TV5 employees welcome Sharon Cuneta as their newest Kapatid. Describing how she felt as she stepped foot in TV5 office at Marajo Tower in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig with a warm welcome by her new TV5 family, Sharon said that it was “mixed emotions.”

The Megastar signed a five- year-contract with the Kapatid Network inclusive of a daily TV show, a reality show, and a movie project. Present in the contract signing was TV5 President and CEO Atty. Ray Espinosa, TV5 COO Robert Barriero, Sharon Cuneta’s longtime manager Sandra Chavez and her other manager Vic del Rosario of Viva Artist Agency. However, TV5 Chairman Manny V. Pangilinan was not there during the contract signing. “MVP is supposed to be here but there’s too much Pangilinans already,” Sharon said as a joke.

Sharon Cuneta is rumored to have a 1 billion peso talent fee but when the press tried to confirm the issue, they just kept mum about it.

On the other hand, KC was clueless in her mom’s transfer of home network.

KC on the issue: “Wala pa po siyang [her mom] kinukuwento sa akin. Siguro hinihiwalay lang niya ‘yong… Whatever makes her happy, magiging masaya din ako.”

Meanwhile, the much awaited Vilma Santos-Sharon Cuneta movie will not push through yet. Both Megastar Sharon Cuneta and Star for All Season Vilma Santos were saddened on this postponement.

“Hindi ako matatahimik hangga’t hindi kami gumagawa ng movie together,” Sharon said.

“Ang mga proyekto there’s such a thing as right timing e. Pagka may mga obstacles na ganyan, huwag nating ituloy. Baka kasi hindi pa time yan. Pero definitely, and magandang balita is nakareserba yan,” Ate Vi explains.

As of now, Ate Shawie focuses her attention in her movie with Gerald Anderson, Enrique Gil, and Julia Montes under the direction of Laurenti Dyogi which will be showed in theaters next year.

Kim and Gerald Back Together

Kim Chiu and Gerald Anderson had broken up a year ago. Today they have since been good friends. They star at their own primetime dramas, paired opposite other stars. However, rumors has not stopped about them going back together.

During the recent Star Magic catalogue launch, Kim has denied all rumors about them being romantically back together.

Kim said in a jest, “Hindi nga kami nagkikita, eh. Nakita ko lang siya ulit sa ‘ASAP,’ so ayun. Huwag na muna natin isipin yan. Hayaan na muna natin yun at saka focus muna kami sa project namin. Tsaka na lang natin isipin yang mga love-love na yan,”

Kim now stars in an ABS-CBN hit series, “My Binondo Girl”. Here she plays a woman pretending to be a man, seeing for her father’s love.

While in a separate interview, Gerald said that he is proud of the success of Kim’s drama show and that he even teases Kim that she is more handsome than him when she plays the role of Yuan.

As for their love life, both of them have put that aside and now concentrating on their careers.

Like Kim, Gerald is all about his career. He plays the lead role of “Budoy” in the TV soap of the same name.

In fact Kim has congratulated him for his success.

“I congratulated him nung nakita ko and maganda kasi yung reviews. Si Gerald, iba naman talaga siya pagdating sa project niya, sobrang dedicated. Kinongrats ko siya in advance.”

Kim Chiu’s Leading Men

Kim Chiu in her upcoming primetime series My Bindondo Girl has three leading men. Xian Lim, Matteo Guidicelli and Jolo Revilla, according to the men, Kim can be one of the boys. Not because she has a heart of a boy but because Kim is down to earth, simple and easy to get along with even with any boys.

According to Kim, Matteo Guidicelli is her closest friend among her men because they both came from the south. They both go out with the rumor girlfriend of Matteo, Maja Salvador. Jolo Revilla is said to be the generous among them, he always buy foods for Kim. And Xian Lim is said to be techie, he teaches Kim many things about technology, he also likes eating.

Last Saturday, August 13, 2011, many praised Kim Chiu and her new leading man Edgar Allan Guzman with their great role in Maalala Mo Kaya. But according to Kim, she didn’t know Allan. Kim admitted she finds it quite hard to work with him, especially that they should play the role as partners.

And unlike her previous interviews, Kim Chiu is now more comfortable talking about her former on screen partner Gerald Anderson after her so-called break up. Kim Chiu said she learned how to love herself more. In an interview with Boy Abunda on ABS-CBN’s “The Buzz” on Sunday, the Drama Princess said she is thankful to have gone through such an experience. “I learned to love myself more. I learned how to be strong. And kung hindi ka naman nagmahal, hindi ka naman masasaktan eh. So thankful ako na naramdaman ko ‘yun,” Kim said. “Wala akong sama ng loob o galit sa kahit na sino. Masaya ako na naramdaman ko ‘yun.” Kim said she and Gerald are now better friends after the so-called breakup. “Kami ni Gerald, sobrang okay namin. Hanggang ngayon, andiyan siya ‘pag may problema. ‘Pag hindi ko na kaya, kinakausap ko siya, nakikinig siya,” she said. And when she asked how she handled the pain, she said, “Umiyak ka lang. Pagkatapos nun masaya ka na ulit, kasama mo friends mo, mga taong nagmamahal sa’yo. Hindi naman masamang magmahal. Hindi. Tao ka rin naman so marami ka talagang mararamdaman sa ngalan ng pag-ibig,” she added.

Last year, Kim Chiu denied rumors that she tried to commit suicide after her so-called breakup with Gerald Anderson. Both have repeatedly said that they never became a couple, with Anderson saying that what they had was a special relationship.

The young actress even expressed her support for Gerald’s upcoming projects including his teleserye Budoy where he stars opposite Jessy Mendiola and a possible movie with Sarah Geronimo. It’s been a year since they were last paired in Kung Tayo’y Magkakalayo, and Kim is really hoping for positive feedback on her first primetime soap without Gerald. Kim is quite speechless though when told that Gerald is wishing her well not only in terms of her career but even with her love life as well. Although they don’t have constant communication, Kim said it’s enough to know that he’ll still be there for her when she needs help.

Kim expressed her deepest gratitude because the newest Kapamilya star from Kapuso network GMA-7, Paulo Avelino acknowledge Kim and he wants Kim to have a project with him.

Simon Atkins is one of the men that are link to Kim. And according to Kim, they are friends. She heard Simon had been to the hospital for an injury because of her fans.

Jolo Revilla has a crush on Kim Chiu

After the rumored break up of Gerald Anderson and Kim Chiu, one of the hottest love team in our generation, there are many young stars who became interested with the beautiful lass.

First is Simon Atkins, a varsity player from De La Salle University who publicized his admiration with the actress through Twitter. Just like what Phil Younghusband did to Angel Locsin.

Now, Bong Revilla’s son Jolo Revilla is being linked with Kim. According to Paparazzi’s (TV5) co-host Dollie Carvajal, Jolo admitted to her at Boracay during the Lenten week that he admires Kim very much. The young actress was shocked when she was asked by PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) last week after she came back from her Star Magic U.S. tour.

“Ano?!” She exclaimed.

“Hindi ko alam ‘yan. Pero, siyempre, kung totoo nga ‘yan, siyempre flattered ako.

“Nakakatuwa na humahanga pala siya sa akin… Kaibigan ko si Jolo.”

When asked if they have a communication, she said:

“Dati, may communication kami,” Kim answered.

“Kaya lang, yung BBM ko… Di ba, nanakaw yung phone ko?

“Ayun, nawala. Na-cut yung BBM ko, so hindi na niya alam yung bagong BBM [number] ko.”

PEP also asked what does she thinks about Jolo. She said:

“Nung storycon namin ng Binondo Girl, kinukuhanan niya ako ng chair, kinukuhanan niya ako ng mainit na tubig, binubuksan niya yung iinumin ko.

She was also asked if in case Jolo courts her, will he have a chance?

“Ano ba ‘yan, si Jolo?!” She laughs.

“Nakakagulat talaga, nainitan tuloy ako! Hindi ko alam, bahala na.”

Kim Chiu just recently celebrated her 21st birthday last April 19 during her Star Magic tour together with the other Star Magic stars.

Gerald Anderson, Kim Chui’s First Love

It was Gerald Anderson who first admits during his interview in The Buzz last Sunday, March 6 that Kim Chui is his first love.

That night Philippine Entertainment Portal got the chance to corner Kim during opening of Mark Nicdao’s photo exhibit “Vantage” in Greenbelt 5, to get her reaction towards Gerald’s admission.

“Totoo ba ‘yan? Di ko alam ‘yan, ngayon ko lang ‘yan narinig. Teka, naloka ako!” said the young actress who couldn’t believe what she just heard. She added “Siyempre, thank you na sinabi niya yun. Siyempre nakakatuwa, nakaka-flatter, kasi isipin mo na ako pala ang first love niya.”

Kim also admits that Gerald indeed is her first love.

But when asked if she believed in the saying “first love never dies”, she said “Depende sa tao, sa panahon, sa mga mangyayari. Kasi hindi natin alam ang mangyayari in the future, pero naniniwala ako sa true love.”

Even though they don’t have any projects together she said that they still have communication.

Kim-Gerald new movie: A Script from Scratch

A new Kim-Gerald movie that every Kimerald should watch for. Their movie called “Till My Heartaches End” shows a very different Kim Chiu and Gerald Anderson. They are already considered young actors and actresses of their generation. They were stars from ABS-CBN primetime dramas “Tayong Dalawa” and “Kung Tayo’y Magkakalayo” which they were recognized as Primetime Drama Princess and Primetime Action-Drama Prince respectively.

Jose Javier Reyes wrote and directed this movie. He also revealed that he created a script from scratch, wrote it just over the weekend. The love story revolves between Agnes (Kim) and Paolo (Gerald) based from the point of view of their friends. They shoot the movie just only 6 weeks. I never thought that a film would be in a month and a half in production.

Carol Banawa sang the theme song of the film. She came back from the States to promote with Kim and Gerald. She is one of my favorite singers in the Philippines and I’m looking forward to listen to her version of Ella May Saison’s original “Till My Heartaches End”.

“Till My Heartaches End” will be showing on 27th of October in all theaters nationwide.

Gerald Anderson’s advice to PBB Double Up Big Five: “Mag-focus sila, tiis, at mag-adjust.”

Gerald Anderson is one of the former Pinoy Big Brother housemates who made it really big in showbiz.

Almost four years after he got out from Big Brother’s house as one of the housemates of the first Teen Edition, Gerald has already achieved a lot in show business. From playing supporting roles in his early years in showbiz, Gerald became a lead actor in several projects, including the hit TV series Tayong Dalawa (2009) and his recent movie with Kim Chiu titled Paano Na Kaya (2010).

Gerald is also considered one of the most in-demand product endorsers. Among these are Bench clothing line, Smart, Enervon, Fit n Right, Unisilver, Clear, Dermablend, and even the American satellite TV DirecTV.

Gerald’s hard work has gained him several investments, including the house that is featured in the March issue of YES! magazine.

The young actor says he wouldn’t have gone this far if he had not taken his job seriously. And this is what he would advise the Big Five of the recently concluded PBB Double Up—Melissa Cantiveros, Paul Jake Castillo, Tibo Jumalon, Jason Francisco, and Johan Santos.

“Sa Big Five, kung gusto nila ang ginagawa nila at mas masaya talaga dito sa showbiz, ano lang, tiis lang at mag-adjust. Kasi sayang, e, sobrang sikat din [sila], di ba? Lahat sila, actually, may future, so sayang. Kumbaga sa dami-rami ng nag-audition, sila ang [naging] Big Five, sila ang mas sikat ngayon, so sayang.”

He also warned them about the intrigues that they may face once they joined show business.

“Siyempre, kung normal na tao ka, hindi ka sanay sa ganito, mabibigla ka,” said the 20-year-old actor.

He added, “‘Tapos mamaya may sasabihin sa ‘yo, ‘May nabasa ako, totoo ba ito?’ Siyempre, kung baguhan ka, paglabas mo ng bahay mo, talagang maraming nakakakilala sa ‘yo, nakakabigla.”

Kim Chiu insists Gerald Anderson is not yet her “dyowa”

Muling pinatunayan nina Kim Chiu at Gerald Anderson ang lakas ng tambalan nila dahil malakas sa takilya ang latest movie nila mula sa Star Cinema, ang Paano Na Kaya?. Ayon sa Star Cinema, kumita raw ng P12 million ang pelikula ng dalawa sa first day pa lang nito.

Masaya siyempre si Kim sa tagumpay ng pelikula nila ni Gerald.

“Nagpapasalamat ako sa lahat ng nanood ng movie namin ni Gerald, lalo na sa Kimeralds [tawag sa fans nila]. Masaya ako dahil sa lahat ng efforts na ginagawa namin ay nabibigyan siya ng sukli. Natutuwa kami sa reaction ng mga tao,” sabi ni Kim nang makausap siya ng PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) nung Linggo, January 31, pagkatapos ng ASAP XV.

Sikat na nga ang loveteam nina Kim at Gerald. Halos lahat ng proyektong kanilang ginagawa ay nagiging tagumpay. Ang huling serye na ginawa nila sa ABS-CBN, ang Tayong Dalawa, ay naging matagumpay rin noong nasa ere pa ito. Maganda rin ang pagtanggap ng mga manonood sa bago nilang primetime series na Kung Tayo’y Magkakalayo. Dahil dito, may mga nagsasabing naka-”three in a row” na raw sina Kim at Gerald.

Ano ang masasabi ni Kim dito?

“Oo nga, e. Kaya nga linggo-linggo ay nagsisimba na talaga kami ni Gerald. Kailangan na talaga naming magsimba dahil naku, baka…” tawa ni Kim, na ang ibig sabihin ay baka bawiin ang kung anumang biyayang tinatanggap nila ngayon.

Masasabi ba niya na narating na ng loveteam nila ang peak ng kasikatan?

“Hindi po! Hindi!” mariing sagot niya. “Pero thankful na ako sa lahat ng nangyayari sa loveteam namin. Kuntento na rin ako sa naabot namin ngayon. Pero siyempre, hindi ko pa rin masasabi na ito na ang pinaka-the best. Alam namin na mayroon pang darating na mas sa aming dalawa.”

KIMERALD VS. ALKRIS. Kung sa ABS-CBN ay ang loveteam nina Kim at Gerald ang itinuturing na pinakasikat na tambalan. Sa GMA-7 naman ay ang loveteam nina Aljur Abrenica at Kris Bernal ang sinasabing pinakasikat at itinatapat sa kanila. Ano ang masasabi ni Kim dito?

“Kami, nagpapasalamat na lang dahil ang dami naming supporters, like mga Kimeralds. Dumarami nga sila ngayon, e. May bagong grupo nga ngayon, e, solid Kimeralds. Dumarami ang inspirasyon namin. Hindi namin iniisip na may kumpitensiya, may kalaban kami na loveteam, ganoon,” saad niya.

Pero may nagsasabi na malayo na ang gawat ng loveteam nila ni Gerald kunpara sa tambalan nina Aljur at Kris kung kasikatan lang din ang pag-uusapan. Sang-ayon ba si Kim dito?

“Hindi naman malayo,” sabi niya. “Nauna lang kami sa kanila. Pero mararating din nila yun. Marami rin naman silang followers, di ba? Dun nga sa Bench fashion show, sinisigawan sila.”

Parehong galing sa reality shows ang apat na young stars. Sina Kim at Gerald ay galing sa unang season ng Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition samantalang sina Aljur at Kris naman ay mga produkto ng StarStruck 4.
