Since bagging the first runner-up position in the first Philippine Idol, Jan Nieto, with his distinctive baritone-tenor voice, balladeer packaging and very Filipino looks, has steadily risen in the world of entertainment.
Nieto (a Management Engineering graduate of the Ateneo de Manila University) used to work as part of a team that implements the advertising and marketing campaigns of a multi-national company, but his dream of being a singer was constantly on his mind. So he took the leap and left the corporate world to try his luck in the entertainment industry.
Jann is a Filipino male singer who rose to prominence as one of the runners-up of Philippine Idol in 2006. He is currently a talent of GMA Network.
Sunshine Dizon’s selection as Jolina Magdangal’s replacement in “Unang Hirit.” It referred to the preferential sunshine dizontreatment of “All About Eve” lead actress in GMA. No other channel knows the popular adage “laughter is the best medicine” better than GMA-7. As proof, more and more TV viewers are religiously getting their required dose of humor from two of the most-watched comedy programs on late prime, “Bubble Gang” and “Cool Center.”
ALTHOUGH he is a certified “island adventurer,” Kiko Rustia feels right at home on the 27th floor of a high-rise in the middle of a busy business district.
He is perhaps one of the best young hosts on television. With a degree in Marketing Management from the De La Salle University, he first worked as an account executive in an advertising agency. He was the boyfriend of “Pare” in that shampoo commercial. He is also the son of lawyer, radio commentator, philanthropist, Aga Arellano. Drew is articulate and refreshing on GMA 7’s Unang Hirit. He shows his adventurous side on Q-11’s Balik-bayan. You wake up and travel with him around the country. He makes you laugh but beware, he can also make you fall in love.
