A media reporter accidentally bumped into the actor, Luis Manzano in the hallway of ABS-CBN studios last March 22, 2012.
Luis was in the building to visit the hosts of The Buzz which includes Toni Gonzaga and Boy Abunda, which is said to be two of his closest friends in showbiz.
WEDDING IN BATANGAS? The actor just giggled when the issue was brought up about him and his girlfriend Jennylyn Mercado is having their plans of getting married, soon.
There were also some controversies that Luis went to Basilica of St. Martin de Tours in Taal, Batangas to inquire about the procedures on how to make a reservation for a wedding.
“Kagulat-gulat talaga! Siguro kamukha ko lang!” sabay tawa ni Luis.
Were there really no plans of him and Jennylyn, getting married? Do they really have not talked about this matter?
“Wala. Actually, nabasa ko nga ‘yon. Sabi ko, ‘Sino ‘yon?’
“Kung kamukha ko man siya, ang suwerteng nilalang no’n!” he said jokily.
“Wala kahit anong katotohanan behind it. Nothing at all talaga.
“Ni hindi ko ma-explain. Kahit ako, gusto kong malaman ang pinanggalingan no’n. I’m curious.
“Kung may mahanap din kayong kasagutan, please let me know.” he added.
What could be Jennylyn’s reaction about this issue?
“Hindi ko alam kung nabalitaan na niya.
“Pero kahit ako, hindi ko alam kung papa’no ipapaliwanag kasi ang labo, e. There’s nothing behind it.
“So, ewan ko… Siguro kamukha ko lang ‘yong sinasabing nakita nila doon.
“Iyon lang ang only explanation na naiisip ko—kamukha.
“I think na-clarify na rin yata ng mga taga-Taal. So, weird lang.” he said.
FOR HIS CONSIDERATION. If ever that Luis and Jennylyn would be planning to get married, would Luis be considering getting or having the ceremonies at Batangas?
“Oo naman!” mabilis niyang sagot.
“Batangas is very close to my family. Do’n nga ikinasal din si Mommy.
“Oo, iku-consider ko rin naman iyon.”
Years ago, Lipa City Cathedral was the site where Batangas Governor Vilma Santos, mother of Luis Manzano, and Senator Ralph Recto exchanged marriage vows.
Is it possible that Luis and Jennylyn would have their wedding at Basilica of St. Martin de Tours like what is being discussed these past few days?
Aside from being one of the tourist attractions in Batangas, the church also has a historical background being the largest church in the Philippines and ranking 2nd in Asia.
Also, in this church, Ogie Alcasid and his first wife Michelle Van Eimeren had their wedding.
According to Luis, “Yes, iku-consider ko rin naman na puwedeng doon.
“Pero long long way to go. Hindi pa talaga.”
IS SHE THE ONE? The relationship of Luis and Jennylyn possesses a smooth affiliation that’s why a lot of their supporters think that they would be heading to the stage of getting married.
What can Luis say about this?
“Well, in any relationship naman, you’re hoping na it’s the end product. Uhm… pero long way to go.”
How many more possible years to go before they could face the altar?
“I have no idea. I wish I knew,” he said.
Is Jennylyn really the girl that he would marry someday? How assured is Luis?
“Sa amin naman, in any relationship, you work on it for keeps.
“Pero long way to go pa nga. Very, very long way.”
They’re still enjoying each other’s company as of now, according to Luis. And he plans to stay as with what level they have right now before pushing or taking the big step, which is marriage.
“Yes. Not just the relationship, we’re enjoying everything na life is drawing my way.”
How many years would their followers will wait before they decide to get married?
“Wala. Sabi ko nga, may mga whirlwind romance na nangyayari.
“At the same time, merong mga sobrang tagal bago magkatuluyan.
“So, hindi pa namin alam kung saan ba kami pupuwesto no’n.”
On the other hand, Luis has a stable life and is really ready to have or establish his own family. If this would be the aspect to tackle about, he is prepared to commit himself in a lifetime liability.
“Not yet,” Luis denied.
“Kasi, kumbaga, ang dami ko pang kailangang gawin.
“At the same time, inirerespeto ko ‘yong kailangang gawin ni Jen.
“Hindi lang bilang isang anak. Higit sa lahat, bilang isang ina.”
ALL’S WELL! In Luis case, all is getting well in his overall lifestyle.
Smooth-sailing is what could be the description that Luis and Jennylyn has. The businesses that the actor entered into is running efficiently and also his career.
He is very much enjoying the experience he is getting in hosting the show “Kapamilya Deal or No Deal”.
