Julia Montes Talks About Her Transformation From Class Bully To Teleserye Beauty

In StarStudio Magazine’s June issue, Walang Hanggan star Julia Montes (a.k.a. Mara Schnittka) proudly showed her new two-storey home in Antipolo. Thanks to her earnings since her Mara Clara days, she was able to purchase a house for her family at the age of 17. Nanibago ako nung una at sobrang saya. Iba yung feeling na ito yung pinagpuyatan ko,” she cheerfully said in the interview.

Julia also shared why the dominant theme of the house is the color red. Apparently, she has never been a girly girl even as a kid. She used to be the feisty type who wouldn’t back out of a fight against boys who bully her friends. Kilala ako na nagpapaiyak ng lalaki,” she admitted with a laugh.

Ate Shawie is the Newest Kapatid

Megastar Sharon Cuneta’s transfer from ABS-CBN to TV5 has long been an issue which Megastar neither confirmed nor denied. Yesterday, November 22, 2011, the issue was proved to be right as TV5 employees welcome Sharon Cuneta as their newest Kapatid. Meanwhile, the much awaited Vilma Santos-Sharon Cuneta movie will not push through yet. Both Megastar Sharon Cuneta and Star for All Season Vilma Santos were saddened on this postponement.

“Ang mga proyekto there’s such a thing as right timing e. Baka kasi hindi pa time yan. Pero definitely, and magandang balita is nakareserba yan,” Ate Vi explains.

As of now, Ate Shawie focuses her attention in her movie with Gerald Anderson, Enrique Gil, and Julia Montes under the direction of Laurenti Dyogi which will be showed in theaters next year.

Aside from their television shows, Kathryn and Julia are also set to test in the box office with their talent in acting to be launched in the big screen via an upcoming Star Cinema movie, Way Back Home, which will be showing on August 17, 2011. Sam Concepcion and Enrique Gil are cast as the love team partners of Kathryn and Julia in this family drama. The movie is directed by Jerry Lopez-Sineneng, this film also stars Agot Isidro as the mother of Kathryn and Julia’s characters.

In the movie, Kathryn will portray Ana Bartolome while Julia is cast as Jessica Santiago. They are sisters who have been separated for the past 12 years and grew up in totally different worlds. Ana lived in a remote fishing village while Jessie had a comfortable life as a student from a well-to-do family. Their paths cross during a swimming competition. This paved the way for Ana to be reunited with her family. However, Jessie begins to resent the attention lavished on her long-lost sister. As their relationship becomes even more estranged, Jessie’s life is suddenly put in danger.

In the press conference of the movie which was held yesterday, August 3, 2011 at Dolphy Theater of ABS-CBN compound, the media interviewed the lead stars of the movie including the Director. And according to the director Julia and Kathryn will be the next superstars of the television industry.

And according to the interview about the difference with acting in a movie and acting in the television, Julia and Kathryn said: “Ibang-iba ito sa Mara Clara, ibang problema ng pamilya na nag tina-tackle po dito, yung forgiveness at acceptance po ng magkapatid sa pamilya. Wala pong bida or kontrabida dito. Pareho po kami ritong biktima ng isang sitwasyon,” said Julia. Julia is the villain, Clara, in the former teleserye of Kapamilya Network. She also added: “Hindi talaga kami makapaniwala na may movie na talaga kami ni Kathryn matapos po yung success namin sa Mara Clara. And according to Kathryn, she admitted that this is a big responsibility that they got the role as the leading stars of the movie.

Last Friday, May 27, PEP Alerts stated that they sighted a young couple having a date at Bellissimo Restaurant Tomas Morato, Quezon CIty. The couple was named Julia Montes and Enchong Dee.

Two weeks ago, the Mara Clara star Julia Montes denied on The Buzz that she and young actor Enchong Dee are in a relationship.

Enchong refuted the said date because during that time they were with the other Mara Clara star Kathryn Bernardo and Diego Loyzaga – son of Cesar Montano who owns the said restaurant. He said:
Oo, totoo. Kumain kami,” stated by Enchong on his taped interview on The Buzz.

According to PEP Alerts, Dee was surprised upon seeing the media people inside the restaurant. But Enchong denies the allegation and explained:
Hindi ako napailing, napaganito ako, tsk…ganun. Sabi ko, ‘Sakto! Bakit?’ Ganoon.

He was asked if he considered their dining at Bellissimo a date and he answered:
Kapag kaming dalawa at nakita n’yo, date yun.

Kathryn is now shooting a movie with co-stars Julia Montes (Clara) and Albie Casiño (Christian). She is reportedly eyed to play another role done by Ms. Judy Ann Santos-Agoncillo. It is the remake of her one top rating teleserye “Esperanza.”

Sobrang thankful.

She feels really honored and overwhelmed if she will land another project that was previously done by Judy Ann.

The Mara Clara star admitted that she hasn’t been asked about the said project yet. She would be really excited if the role will be given to her again.
