Gerald Anderson is one of the former Pinoy Big Brother housemates who made it really big in showbiz.
Almost four years after he got out from Big Brother’s house as one of the housemates of the first Teen Edition, Gerald has already achieved a lot in show business. From playing supporting roles in his early years in showbiz, Gerald became a lead actor in several projects, including the hit TV series Tayong Dalawa (2009) and his recent movie with Kim Chiu titled Paano Na Kaya (2010).
Gerald is also considered one of the most in-demand product endorsers. Among these are Bench clothing line, Smart, Enervon, Fit n Right, Unisilver, Clear, Dermablend, and even the American satellite TV DirecTV.
Gerald’s hard work has gained him several investments, including the house that is featured in the March issue of YES! magazine.
The young actor says he wouldn’t have gone this far if he had not taken his job seriously. And this is what he would advise the Big Five of the recently concluded PBB Double Up—Melissa Cantiveros, Paul Jake Castillo, Tibo Jumalon, Jason Francisco, and Johan Santos.
“Sa Big Five, kung gusto nila ang ginagawa nila at mas masaya talaga dito sa showbiz, ano lang, tiis lang at mag-adjust. Kasi sayang, e, sobrang sikat din [sila], di ba? Lahat sila, actually, may future, so sayang. Kumbaga sa dami-rami ng nag-audition, sila ang [naging] Big Five, sila ang mas sikat ngayon, so sayang.”
He also warned them about the intrigues that they may face once they joined show business.
“Siyempre, kung normal na tao ka, hindi ka sanay sa ganito, mabibigla ka,” said the 20-year-old actor.
He added, “‘Tapos mamaya may sasabihin sa ‘yo, ‘May nabasa ako, totoo ba ito?’ Siyempre, kung baguhan ka, paglabas mo ng bahay mo, talagang maraming nakakakilala sa ‘yo, nakakabigla.”
