NHI vs Arnel Pineda for “Lupang Hinirang” Violations

Tuesday, March 16th, 2010

Nilabag umano ng Journey’s Lead Singer ang Republic Act (RA) 8491 (The Flag and Heraldic Code of the Philippines), hindi daw umano sinunod ni Pineda and tamang tono and kumpas sa pag-awit ng “Lupang Hinirang”.

The mother of international singing sensation Charice has criticized the National Historical Institute (NHI) for dragging the name of her daughter into the issue of proper rendition of “Lupang Hinirang.”

We can’t blame why Charice’s mother defend her daugther. It is just like any mother who want to protect and clear their child’s name from any accusations.

Martin’s rendition of our National Anthem is good though some say it was fast or it wasn’t right. He did his best. I still idolize him for being a good person.

I think he just want to make our National Anthem, Lupang Hinirang, current. But we should respect the original rendition of our National Anthem as it was written in our constitution that it should be sang on a specific rendition.
