Judy Ann Santos To Star In New Soap For TV And Big Movie Project For MMFF

Monday, May 21st, 2012

Judy Ann Santos will be doing rounds in different malls in the Philippines particularly in several groceries to check or see the product she is endorsing, Lactum, milk for infants.

May 19, 2012, a live appearance of the actress was held in the Atrium of SM Megamall. In where, the “Build a 100% Panatag World” campaign was launched by Lactum and the press conference of Judy Ann has been opened for publicity. A number of present moms in the event got a chance to ask questions addressing the actress; in short they had a mini open forum.

Last May 11, the actress celebrated her birthday at Singapore together with her family.

“Nag-Singapore kami ni Ryan. With the two kids, parents ni Ryan, at kasama rin namin si Mommy.

For the renovation of the school grounds, doon po ako naka-focus sa kanila.”

The birthday of Juday and the Mother’s Day were celebrated together when they had their Singapore trip. It was the gift given by her behalf, Ryan Agoncillo, together with a pair of dazzling shoes but Juday doesn’t want to give much detail of the shoes that was given to her.

Kasi, si Yohan, gustong mag-Universal Studios at saka yung Sounds of the Sea.

“At tamang-tama rin, Mother’s Day, magandang kasa-kasama namin ang mga mommies namin at that time.”

They stayed for about 6 days and 5 nights in Singapore.

BACK TO SOAP WORLD. It was said that she will be going to start again in making and taping for a teleserye in ABS-CBN. Good thing is that they finally made her a ‘yes’ to tape again or do a soap again.

Juday said with a giggle, “Unang-una, kasama siya sa kontrata.”

“Pero yung ABS naman, guaranteed me na it’s not gonna be as hectic as before—noong dalaga pa ako.

It was said that Juday has a cut-off of 12 midnight.

It was Sam Milby whom she knows that she would be working with in the upcoming teleserye.

Wala namang nahindian,” she said.

Aside from the time, are there any other requests in which she asked for before she accepted to do a teleserye again? Like, are there any demands?

“Actually, wala naman.  Yung cut-off lang talaga.

Kasi, iniisip mo na kailangan, take one lang ‘to.

“Pag-uusapan kung hanggang anong month puwedeng i-can.

“I-can natin, pero, huwag namang dalawang taon.”

CHOICE OF ROLES. In terms of doing a teleserye, does she requires a certain role or does she the one to choose in which role she likes most?

Juday is avoiding the possibility of losing time for her family especially with the project/s she is about to face in the near future.

Judy Ann has an exclusive contract with ABS-CBN.

“Sa TV production? Exclusive ako.”

GUESTING OUTSIDE HER NETWORK. How come that she was permitted to be the guest in the shows of TV5 like Talentadong Pinoy of Ryan and Sharon: Kasama Mo Kapatid ni Sharon Cuneta?

For teleseryes, I am exclusive with them.”

MEGA MOVIE PRODUCTION. Aside from the Cinemalaya entry of Judy Ann which is Mga Mumunting Lihim, it is also possible that she will make a big production movie. At first, she doesn’t want to mention what’s the title of the movie.

“May isang malaking project na mangyayari this year.

“But definitely, it’s going be a big project.  At least for me.

“With the big companies and big stars as well.

“Hindi Star Cinema. Parang tatlong production e, ang magsasama-sama. I think ha, I’m not sure, kasi hindi ko pa rin sila nakaka-meeting nang maayos.”

Is it for Metro Manila Film Festival?

“Maaari, maaari…kasi sabi ko nga noong una, ang hirap ng Filmfest, ang ngarag,” she said.

An entertainment press guessed that it is possible that the movie Juday is referring to is for Metro Manila Film Festival entry. A collaboration of Bong Revilla and Vic Sotto in which, she will probably replace Ai-Ai.

Have Juday and Ai-Ai talked about this matter?

Maybe, Juday and Ryan will also have rivalry?

Ay!” she said jokingly.

“Hindi naman… I mean when it comes naman to acting and career, wala naman kaming isyu sa ganyan.

“Lahat naman ito e, trabaho, di ba? Kung anu’t-anuman pareho naman kaming magbe-benefit sa resulta kung saka-sakali at wala naman kaming isyu pagdating sa trabaho, as long as yung time for the family hindi nakakalimutan.”

COCO AND JOHN LLOYD. Will the proposed movie of Star Cinema with Coco Martin and John Lloyd Cruz, will push thru?

Is she interested?

“Oo naman, oo naman. Basta siguro two years from now,” she said.

8 Official MMFF Entries revealed

Friday, November 5th, 2010

Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) is celebrating its 36th-year of bringing high-quality and amazing films from different movie productions. This year, only eight films compete with each other for the annual MMFF awards and box-office ranking.

First on the list is Ai Ai De Las Alas’s Ang Tanging Ina Mo Rin (Last Na ‘To) under Star Cinema. It is directed by Wenn Deramas. Other cast includes Nikki Valdez, Eugene Domingo, Marvin Agustin, and much more. Senator Ramon “Bong” Revilla and Vic Sotto joined forces in the movie Agimat ni Enteng that produced by GMA Films, M-Zet, APT, and Imus Productions. Cinemedia’s Dalaw, a horror-thriller film casts Kris Aquino and Diether Ocampo. A Maricel Soriano classic revives again in the movie Super Inday at ang Magic Bibe starring Jake Cuenca, Marian Rivera, Pokwang and John Lapuz. The longest movie series in the filmfest lives on entitled Shake, Rattle, and Roll 12 which features Andi Eigenmann, Shaina Magdayao, Rayver Cruz, and Carla Abellana. Comedy King Dolphy has two entries in the filmfest. First is Father Jejemon under RVQ Productions with Maja Salvador. And second is Rosario under Cine Mabuhay with Jennylyn Mercado and Sid Lucero. And last but not the least, Star Cinema’s 3D animation film RPG features voices of Aga Muhlach, Zaijan Jaranilla, Vhong Navarro and other stars.

When I looked at the official list of MMFF, I expect that the three films namely Ang Tanging Ina (Last Na ‘To), Agimat ni Enteng and Shake, Rattle, and Roll 12 will randomly compete on top three box-office slots in the filmfest. But, of course, the importance of this filmfest is the continuous success of Philippine movie industry in despite of several international films are premiering within the year.

Ang Showbiz Central, Show Me Da Manny, at Full House.”

HEART EVANGELISTA: “Well, of course for me, marami akong na-gain na experiences for 2009.

First time din to travel with our closest friends we consider our family. I look forward to being more busy with work, more family travels, more successful sa business naming mag-asawa, better health and better government.”

Gayundin ung mga naging movie like Hellphone. Lahat best, kasi lahat malalaki at magagandang pelikula.

Anne Curtis, deserving of her award!

Monday, May 4th, 2009

anne1

In a recent interview with Kris Aquino for “Showbiz News Ngayon (SNN),” Anne Curtis was asked to comment on alleged rumors saying Viva Films “bought” the Best Actress for her. Anne was named Best Actress for her role in the Viva-produced movie “Baler,” which also won several more awards including Best Picture in last year’s Metro Manila Film Festival.

Anne didn’t show any sign that she was affected by such rumor if there was any. The fact that nobody stood up to question her winning meant she deserved it, she said. Well, she deserves it. I should know, because I was one of the MMFF jurors. It’s not fair to say Viva “bought” the award, it isn’t fair to Anne because she did a good job, and it isn’t fair to us the judges.

Congratulations to her.  She has proven a lot on her acting skills. She’s not just pretty but also talented.
