The newly elected Cavite Representative Lani Mercado can heave a sigh of relief now that her family’s spat with former sexy star Rosanna Roces has come to a happy ending.
At last, the two parties buried the hatchet in the heels of the recently concluded national elections. They are now working towards having a better relationship with Gab Revilla, the son of Jolo Revilla and Grace Adriano, Rosanna’s daughter.
“Sagot iyon sa maraming panalangin ko. Parehas lang naman ang gusto namin, na mapabuti si Gab, na maayos ang buhay niya. Marunong ang Panginoong Diyos. Panalangin lang talaga,” Lani said on “Juicy.”
The Revillas caught Rosanna’s ire when Jolo Revilla did not return Gab after fetching him from the sexy star’s digs. Rosanna spewed venom on most of her interviews, directing them at Jolo and eventually at the Revillas. Rosanna even threatened to sue Jolo if he does not return her grandson.
But all that is water under the bridge now. And as further testament to the power of prayers, Lani added, “Marami akong laban sa buhay ko na hindi ko nilabanan ng sarili kong kakayanan kundi lahat pinanalangin ko.”
The Revillas are on a high these days given the triumph of Bong Revilla in the senatorial race and Lani’s victory as congresswoman in Bacoor, Cavite. (Manila Bulletin News)
