Ariel Rivera left the screening of his own movie before it even started. The scene of Ariel leaving though was far from a walk-out. He simply avoided seeing himself at work. In fact, he never saw any of his films, TV shows and even music videos. Seeing himself on screen has always made the singer-actor uncomfortable.

“I never watch any of my movies,” the actors expressed to Manila Bulletin during the premiere of his latest starrer “Padre de Pamilya,” which incidentally hits regular theater run today, April 29 at SM Cinemas. Read more..

MANILA, Philippines – Since she played a supporting part in the suspense thriller, Taxi ni Pilo, directed by UP student Milo Alto-Paz, Tessie Tomas has been drawn to acting in independent films. Thus, she has been seen in noteworthy indie projects like Connie Macatuno’s Rome & Juliet, Chris Martinez’s 100 and Dante Garcia’s Ploning, among others.

“I have a soft spot for young directors,” Tessie allows. “I believe young people have many brilliant ideas and I can learn from them. They are very adventurous. I want to be counted as a supporter of indie films which, I believe, are doing well.”  Read more…
