Aside from lifting weights and running the treadmill, Luis Manzano also practices muaythai and mma (mixed martial arts). His looks and his skills definitely read “action star material.” But why does he prefer doing drama more over action movies? “I think drama is more fulfilling. It has more demands, more emotions used,” answered Luis.
Luis Manzano had to give up his hosting job in Entertainment Live for ABS-CBN’s new talent show, Pilipinas Got Talent.
“I will be gone for six weeks, since I have to go around the Philippines for PGT,” Luis said in an interview with PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) recently. Luis will tour with co-host Billy Crawford to scout for Pinoy talents who’ll peform in front of celebrity judges Kris Aquino, Ai-Ai delas Alas, and former ABS-CBN president Freddie M. Garcia.
Aside from PGT, Luis is slated to start a movie with the Young Superstar Judy Ann Santos and Popstar Princess and box-office queen Sarah Geronimo. “The title of the movie is Hating Kapatid,” informed Luis about his movie with Juday and Sarah which will be under Viva Films.

“Walang [kaming] relationship,” said model-turned-actor Will Devaughn tersely about his rumored involvement in the alleged relationship problem between Pinoy Big Brother couple Wendy Valdez and Bruce Quebral.
In an exclusive phone interview this afternoon with PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) the former PBB celebrity housemate said that the accusation was impossible.
He also made clear that he and Wendy never went out on a date when they were still doing the Precious Hearts Romances Presents Bud Brothers. They were paired in the episode called “Once in a Lifetime Love.”

Ito ang akmang paglalarawan sa pagpasok ni Glaiza de Castro sa cast ng Bente bilang kapalit ni Jewel Mische.
Sa nalalapit na showing date, which is on June 3, ng nasabing pelikula, hindi maiwasang pag-usapang muli ang dahilan ng biglaang pagbabago sa cast. Matatandaang makakasama sana ni Jewel dito ang yumaong aktor na si Marky Cielo, na pinalitan ng dating housemate ng Pinoy Big Brother na si Aldred Gatchalian. The wedding ceremony lasted for only 45 minutes but it was a result of months of preparation. Judy Ann Santos and Ryan Agoncillo were so secretive about their wedding that most Pinoys were surprised to learn that the couple were already having the wedding ceremony that fateful morning of April 28, 2009.
Details about the wedding were soon broadcast despite the heavy security at the San Juan De Nepomuceno church in San Juan, Batangas. The wedding ceremony was officiated by Fr. Tito Caluag and it took place inside the parish church filled with large white drapes, chandeliers, and white orchids.

MANILA, Philippines—The editor in chief of and entertainment website on Tuesday insisted that actor Richard Gutierrez was not portrayed as a “troublemaker” in an article which had reported his alleged involvement in a gun-toting incident.
Philippine Entertainment Portal editor in chief Jo-Ann Maglipon, who was charged by the actor with libel, said in her counter affidavit that the March 29 story “did not impute any discreditable act or condition to any person, much less to the complainant.” Read more…
In the first place, i don’t think that Richard can be a troublemaker. He is a man with morals and one of the respected people in the Philippine industry.

Tutol si Luis dahil pinalalabas ng sumulat na nagbibigay siya ng detalye tungkol sa relasyon nila ni Angel Locsin nang hindi siya nakakausap nito at kumukuha lamang ng impormasyon sa mga tao sa mga lugar na pinupuntahan niya.

Entertainment Web site Philippine Entertainment Portal (PEP) branded as an “affront to press freedom” the cease-and-desist letter sent by the camp of Annabelle Rama in connection with its coverage of her son and talent, Richard Gutierrez.
“There is no other way to say it. This is an affront to free press. It is cavalier about free speech. It totally misrepresents the nature of public figures and it is dismissive of public’s right to know,” PEP’s editor-in-chief Jo-Ann Maglipon wrote in an article uploaded on PEP Saturday.

Kinasuhan ni Richard ang PEP dahil hindi umano totoo ang lumabas na istorya sa Web site na nag-away sila ni Michael sa isang birthday party.

“Gusto ngang mag-artista, pero ayoko,” sabi ni Keempee. “Nang una niyang sinabi sa akin na gusto niyang mag-artista, inayawan ko agad. Sasabihin daw niya sa Dada niya—yun ang tawag niya kay Dad [Joey de Leon]. Okey lang kay Daddy na mag-artista si Sam, pero tapusin daw muna ang pag-aaral niya.
