MANILA, Philippines – Amid accusations of excessive use of force, Quezon City policemen who took part Thursday in the arrest of some members of broadcaster Ted Failon (Mario Teodoro Eton)’s family and household were sacked Friday from the team investigating the case.
Metro Manila police director Chief Superintendent Roberto Rosales said the cops were “isolated” from the team as they have “no place” in the ongoing investigation.
“Out of the team ang taong involved sa investigation at legwork na gagawin [Those involved in the investigation and legwork are out of the team],” he said in an interview on dzXL radio.
