Celebrity Hot Shots in the Philippines

MANILA, Philippines – Queenie Padilla, ABS-CBN’s newest star, has hinted that his action star father, Robin Padilla, is probably going out on dates these days.

Queenie, however, said she is not sure if her father, who became a guest host of “Wowowee,” is dating Mariel Rodriguez.

“Siguro po, hindi ko alam… kasi ever since nagkakilala sila halos hindi po siya umuuwi. … hindi ko po alam kung nasaan siya. Siguro po nagda-date,” the 19-year-old said.

Robin met Rodriguez when he became the guest host of hit noontime show “Wowowee” for 2 weeks after its main host, Willie Revillame, took an “indefinite break” following a word war with Jobert Sucaldito.

Queenie said she has not been introduced to Rodriguez yet. “Actually po, hindi pa kami nagkakakilala pero kung masaya si Papa ay masaya na din po ako.”

She also took note that since her parents’ separation almost 3 years ago, it was the first time that his father showed interest in another woman.

“Opo kasi dati siyempre malungkot po si Papa sa nangyari,” Queenie said.

She said she doesn’t mind if her father finds a girlfriend. “Basta alagaan po niya si Papa at huwag po siyang lokohin.”

Queenie said she and her siblings have already accepted the decision of their parents to separate. She said her main focus now is her work.

Momay

Queenie will be paired with Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition Plus Big Winner Ejay Falcon in the hit television series “Momay.”

Queenie said she is both nervous and excited with her first TV project.

“May konting pressure rin siyempre kasi nakakabit sa akin ang name ng dad ko. But I’m really enjoying the experience. The cast members are kind enough to give me tips on acting, ” said Queenie, Robin and Liezl Sicangco’s eldest daughter.

Falcon, on the other hand, has been part of 2 weekday teleseryes on ABS-CBN, “Katorse” and “Tanging Yaman.”

“Mas pambata itong ‘Momay.’ Hindi katulad ng ‘Katorse’ at ‘Tanging Yaman’ na seryoso talaga ang plot. Kaya iba rin po ang atake ng pag-arte ko po rito,” Falcon shared.

After being paired with Erich Gonzales, Falcon is excited to work with his new on-screen partner.

“Nakakatuwa po kasama si Queenie sa set. Madali pong kausap at lapitan. Kaya po kapag may eksena kami, hindi na po ganoon kahirap mag-adjust,” he said.
