Anne Curtis Bids Tearful Goodbye To It’s Showtime Family

The TV host-actress, Anne Curties, will be temporarily taking a leave in ABS-CBN’s it’s Showtime for about a month to “pursue her dreams.”

Anne announced during the May 23 episode of the show that, “Mawawala po ako for one month,”

As much as possible, Anne tried to hold back her tears as she continued: “Meron po akong gagawin, it’s a very big step for me. It’s something na gusto kong ipursue sa dreams ko. Basta bagong challenge ito sa life ko at para rin naman po sa inyong lahat at sa mga followers ko.

Vhong Navarro told Anne: “Sa pag-alis mo, baon mo ang suporta ng iyong Showtime family.”

After which, the hosts of the show called in the servers who carried lechon and the marching band members who performed onstage.

Anne wiped away her tears as “Good Luck Anne” was flashed on the screen behind them.

She became emotional as she said: “Gusto ko lang po magpasalamat sa Showtime family; Direk Bobot Vidanes thank you for believing in me and allowing me to pursue my dreams. To ABS-CBN for allowing me to take this leave.

One month lang naman po. I’ll be back, I promise. My Showtime family, mami-miss ko kayong lahat. Mami-miss ko kayong lahat, even the madlang pipol.

Thank you all of you for understanding.”

Anne highlighted that she cannot yet reveal her exact plans and the reason for taking a leave.

“It’s a new challenge and I’ll share it with all of you soon kung ano man po ito. Hindi ko pa pwede sabihin but I will tell it at the right time.”

Vice Ganda assured Anne: “We’re so proud of you kahit hindi ako naiiyak. Masayang- masaya ako kaya hindi kita pinigilan nung nalaman ko ito. Alam ko na ito ang kukumpleto ng mga pangarap mo. Bonggang-bongga ka talaga girl!”

They ended this farewell session with a group hug.

On her official Twitter account, Anne mentioned, “1 MONTH lang ako mawawala. I have a teleserye pa to finish and No Other Concert National Tour!

Kean Denies Using Vice to Fuel His Career

Callalily lead vocalist Kean Cipriano denies using Vice to boost his career. He said in a tapped interview aired in Paparazzi last November 13 that allegations of him using Vice is just a pure prank and that he respects the people he encounter throughout his career and in his life as well.

Kean and Vice’s friendship started when the earlier was invited as a guest judge back in January 2010 in ABS-CBN’s noontime program “Showtime” where Vice is the resident judge, “hurado” as they call it. The friendship continues on- and off-cam as they give nicknames to each other. Kean calls Vice “sweetcorn” while Vice calls him “popcorn”. They are also noted to have frequent show of affection over social networking site, Twitter.

He stresses that he never uses another person for success of his own career.

Kean is also rumored to be romantically linked to celebrity stylist Liz Uy, sister of My Binondo Girl actress Laureen Uy and also a good friend of Vice Ganda.

He said: “Ewan ko sa kanila. Pero Liz and I are good friends… We’re super friends. Really good friends.” He also describes Liz as a person who is very kind, very brilliant, and very good at her craft.

When asked if he would consider Liz as his ideal girl, he said: “Why not?”

“Mahirap kasi mag-ano eh, ‘yung sasabihin mo na, ‘Oh dapat baka merong may mangyaring kung ano man.’ Pero hindi, ayokong sirain ‘yung magandang pagkakaibigan namin,” said Kean.

On the other hand, the singer keeps silent about the real score between him and Alex Gonzaga who happens to be his onscreen partner.

“Well ‘yung sa ‘min naman kasi ni Alex, it’s something na ayokong talagang pag-usapan dahil siyempre babae ‘yung tao [tapos] magsasalita [ako]. Eh ‘di naman yata maganda ‘yon.”

“We shared something, we shared moments together… basta moments, we shared moments together na dadalhin ‘ko sa kung sa’n ‘man ako makapunta,” he said.

Kean’s acting career started 2010 as he was given a break in TV5’s show “BFGF”. Although reportedly set to appear in the upcoming show “P.S. I Love You” of the same network, Kean would not leave singing for acting. He said that their band is “stronger than ever” and his band mates are not insecure of his popularity. Kean assured fans that Callalily will never disband.

Vice Ganda vs. Anne Curtis

Anne Curtis and Vice Ganda has been rising in fame with their successful shows and movies. The two are referred to as “unkabogable” or unbeatable in the industry. Anne’s recent movie, “No other Woman”, has been a box-office hit grossing over P258 million.

Vice Ganda has earned his title as “unkagogable”, for his successful TV shows “Showtime” and “Gandang Gabi Vice”. His sold out concerts at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum and his box-office hit movie “Petrang Kabayo” all contributed to his fame.

Vice has an up and coming show “The Unkabogable Praybeyt Benjamin” which will open nationwide on Oct. 26, 2011.

The two co-hosts has been pitted against each other on who will be the reigning “unkabogable” queen.

Vice in a recent interview said, “Huwag naman ganung pressure. Feeling ko rin magiging hit ang pelikulang ito pero ayaw ko ring i-pressure ang sarili ko na dapat matalo ko ang movie ni Anne.”

Vice however is more confident that his new movie is better than his debut movie “Petrang Kabayo”. What he is sure of is that he makes sure that his present projects are better than the last.

“I just live by the day,” he confessed. “What I have at the moment I make sure na papagandahin ko yung pagkakataon na yun. Unconceivable lahat po ito kasi ibinigay lang. Sa next project ko, pagsasama-samahin namin ang efforts and talents and lahat siguro ng mga ginawa namin sa ‘Petrang Kabayo’ and ‘Praybeyt Benjamin,’ gagawin namin sa next movie ko.”

Whether or not Vice beats Anne “Bisyosa” Curtis for the “unkabogable box-office queen,” he is already declared himself a winner when he said, “I’m very proud of this movie!”

Ryan Bang ‘officially’ evicted “Showtime” Hurado

Although Dimples offered her seat to reinstate Ryan Bang as “Showtime” hurado last saturday, the show’s director declared this Monday that Ryan still is an ‘officially’ evicted “Showtime” judge.

“Bilang pagkilala sa resulta ng botohan, si Ryan Bang ay mananatiling burado bilang isang hurado. I hope everything is clear. Wala po kaming hinangad dito kung hindi magpasaya ng tao. I hope doon sa mga taong nagtatanong, I hope na klaro na po sa inyo,” a statement released by the “Showtime” director Bobet Vidanes.

He explained that the show’s viewer’s decision, particularly the text votes, must be respected. Ryan topped the “burado hurado” text votes which caused his eviction.

He also stated that even though Dimples voluntarily evicted herself for Ryan’s behalf, the show’s rules must be followed.

Dimples graciously gave her seat to the “Showtime” Burado judge Ryan Bang as she was moved with the emotional farewell of Ryan in the show.

“I saw how much you love Ryan and since I still have my seat I think I have the power to give Ryan back my seat. Ryan will have my seat. Ryan is a good man he deserves so much more and I hope po na maging masaya kayong lahat sa pagbabalik ni Ryan,” she explained.

As she gave her ‘Hurado’ seat to Ryan, Dimples thanked the whole “Showtime” family on her last Hurado day.

“Gusto ko pong magpasalamat sa lahat sa inyo. Alam niyo po, ang hindi ma-vote out ang isang Hurado ng 5 linggo palampas pa ay sobra-sobra na pong regalo. Sobra-sobrang kabutihan na po ng buong ‘Showtime’ sa akin. Hindi ko na po magawang humiling ng sobra-sobra,” she said.

The emotional Ryan Bang acknowledged and thanked Dimples for the sacrifice she made in order for him to be back in the morning show. “Ate Dimples, maraming salamat po. Thank you so much. Maraming-maraming salamat,” he said.

The ‘longest-running’ “Showtime” judge Ryan Bang was evicted last Saturday. The show turned emotional as Ryan Ryan bade farewell to all of his friends in the show. The “Showtime” hosts, particularly Anne Curtis and Vice Ganda, became tear-eyed.
