Cristine Reyes states no plans of becoming an ‘Other Woman’, confronts rumors about moving to TV5

Thursday, September 22nd, 2011

The actress Cristine Reyes said she has no plans of becoming an ‘other woman’ just to be with the man she loves. In an interview with PEP.ph during the presscon of ‘No Other Woman’ at the Dolphy Theater in ABS-CBN compound yesterday, Cristine said,

“Sa tingin ko, ayokong gawin yun na maghahabol ako sa lalaki, ayokong ipilit yung sarili ko sa taong ayaw na sa akin. Kasi parang tatapakan ko lang yung sarili ko. Marami namang iba diyan na puwede akong mahalin.”

As to what she will do if ever the situation comes out in real life, the actress uttered the following statement.

“Pag nalaman ko yung guy na may iba siya, siguro papapiliin ko siya kung sino sa aming dalawa. Kung pipiliin niya yung isa, okay lang. It means hindi siya para sa akin. Kung ako yung pipiliin niya, kailangan na niyang hiwalayan yung isa.”

Cristine Reyes along with Anne Curtis and Derek Ramsay starred the sexy film ‘No Other Woman’ produced by Star Cinema and Viva Films and directed by Ruel Bayani. The film is showing on September 28 in cinemas nationwide.

The film focuses on the challenges and problems brought about by marital infidelity. The story revolves on three main characters, the couple, Charmain dela Costa-Escaler (Cristine) and Ram Escaler (Derek), and the other woman, Kara Zalderiaga (Anne).

With regards to the rumors spreading that she has plans of transferring to another network channel, TV5, Cristine exclaimed, “Hindi, a! Naririnig ko, pero hindi ko alam kung merong ganung negotiation. Nakarating kasi siya sa akin hindi through Viva kundi through tweets.”

Cristine also clarified this issue.

“Siguro magkakaroon muna ng discussion. Pero so far naman, I’m happy sa ABS-CBN. Kung meron man pong ganung offer (from TV5), hindi ko po alam. If ever, mabait naman po ang Viva, e, kung saan mas masaya yung alaga nila, doon sila. Siyempre mahirap namang magtrabaho kung alam mong ayaw mong magtrabaho kung saan ka lilipat,” she said.

Coleen Garcia misses Ryan Bang and Showtime

Thursday, August 18th, 2011

Coleen Garcia confessed that she misses her former co-judge in ABS-CBN’s Showtime, Ryan Bang.

In an exclusive interview by PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) regarding updates on Ryan, Coleen laughed and said, “Okay naman po siya. He still texts me and we talk naman. Nakaka-miss siya sobra. Iba pa rin yung nakikita mo siya every day kasi yung taping namin sa Good Vibes, once a week lang. Yung sa Showtime, dun lang ako nasanay na every day may work tapos kasama ko pa si Ryan. He made everything so much lighter and nakaka-miss talaga.”

After her last “hurado” day in Showtime, August 6, she had seen less of Ryan. Their tandem bloomed through the show’s constant teasing. Moreover, the Korean comedian lately admitted his admiration to the actress through an interview on entertainment news program, Showbiz News Ngayon (SNN).

As for the issue that Ryan is courting her, the actress smiled and said “Ay, naku! Hindi ko talaga alam dun! Akala ko lahat joke-joke lang! Tapos sinabi niya sa SNN [Showbiz New Ngayon] na nanliligaw daw siya. Wala akong alam dun! Hindi ko talaga alam. Siguro manhid ako!”

Furthermore, Coleen uttered, “Sa ngayon po kasi kakapasok ko lang sa showbiz, so I wanna be stable muna in the industry bago po ako ma-distract. Ngayon, hindi pa talaga. Honestly, hindi pa… I have so much to work on.”

Recently, the actress supported the premiere of Way Back Home, a Star Cinema-produced film starring Sam Concepcion and Enrique Gil (her Good Vibes co-stars), Kathryn Bernardo and Julia Montes, last August 16 at SM Megamall.

The actress also melancholy commented the near end of their youth-oriented show, Good Vibes, which will be airing its last 3 weeks. “Iba talaga yung feeling ko kasi first show ko yun, so talagang marami akong mami-miss. I learned so much from that show and from the people in that show.”

She added, “I really didn’t know anything about showbiz [and] about acting before I had Good Vibes kasi first show ko siya talaga, so dun ko lang natutunan lahat ng alam ko ngayon. I’m really gonna miss it.”

The Future Superstars Kathryn Bernardo and Julia Montes in Way Back Home

Thursday, August 4th, 2011

It seems like the newest primetime princesses are on a non-stop ride on the road to fame after the huge success of their remake TV show, Kathryn Bernardo and Julia Montes, the lead stars of the top-rating ABS-CBN-TV series “Mara Clara“. Julia and Kathryn prove that they can portray the former character of Judy Ann Santos and Gladys Reyes in the first series of Mara Clara.

Aside from their television shows, Kathryn and Julia are also set to test in the box office with their talent in acting to be launched in the big screen via an upcoming Star Cinema movie, Way Back Home, which will be showing on August 17, 2011. Sam Concepcion and Enrique Gil are cast as the love team partners of Kathryn and Julia in this family drama. The movie is directed by Jerry Lopez-Sineneng, this film also stars Agot Isidro as the mother of Kathryn and Julia’s characters.

In the movie, Kathryn will portray Ana Bartolome while Julia is cast as Jessica Santiago. They are sisters who have been separated for the past 12 years and grew up in totally different worlds. Ana lived in a remote fishing village while Jessie had a comfortable life as a student from a well-to-do family. Their paths cross during a swimming competition. This paved the way for Ana to be reunited with her family. However, Jessie begins to resent the attention lavished on her long-lost sister. As their relationship becomes even more estranged, Jessie’s life is suddenly put in danger.

In the press conference of the movie which was held yesterday, August 3, 2011 at Dolphy Theater of ABS-CBN compound, the media interviewed the lead stars of the movie including the Director. And according to the director Julia and Kathryn will be the next superstars of the television industry.

And according to the interview about the difference with acting in a movie and acting in the television, Julia and Kathryn said: “Ibang-iba ito sa Mara Clara, ibang problema ng pamilya na nag tina-tackle po dito, yung forgiveness at acceptance po ng magkapatid sa pamilya. Wala pong bida or kontrabida dito. Pareho po kami ritong biktima ng isang sitwasyon,” said Julia. Julia is the villain, Clara, in the former teleserye of Kapamilya Network. She also added: “Hindi talaga kami makapaniwala na may movie na talaga kami ni Kathryn matapos po yung success namin sa Mara Clara. Nagpapasalamat kami sa ABS-CBN sa pagbibigay sa ‘min ng ganitong kalaking break at the same time po may pressure on our part kasi po malaking challenge po na i-please ang mga manonood ng pelikula namin.”

And according to Kathryn, she admitted that this is a big responsibility that they got the role as the leading stars of the movie.

Kim-Gerald new movie: A Script from Scratch

Wednesday, October 20th, 2010

A new Kim-Gerald movie that every Kimerald should watch for. Their movie called “Till My Heartaches End” shows a very different Kim Chiu and Gerald Anderson. They are already considered young actors and actresses of their generation. They were stars from ABS-CBN primetime dramas “Tayong Dalawa” and “Kung Tayo’y Magkakalayo” which they were recognized as Primetime Drama Princess and Primetime Action-Drama Prince respectively.

Jose Javier Reyes wrote and directed this movie. He also revealed that he created a script from scratch, wrote it just over the weekend. The love story revolves between Agnes (Kim) and Paolo (Gerald) based from the point of view of their friends. They shoot the movie just only 6 weeks. I never thought that a film would be in a month and a half in production.

Carol Banawa sang the theme song of the film. She came back from the States to promote with Kim and Gerald. She is one of my favorite singers in the Philippines and I’m looking forward to listen to her version of Ella May Saison’s original “Till My Heartaches End”.

“Till My Heartaches End” will be showing on 27th of October in all theaters nationwide.
