Actress Yasmien Kurdi sees the possibility of a peaceful resolution to the “acts of lasciviousness” case he filed against actor Baron Geisler.
Facing the media during the recent anniversary celebration of GMA, Kurdi said she is open to reconciling with Geisler.
“Lahat naman napupunta sa ayos, eh… wala namang problema [na] hindi nareresolba. Lahat-lahat umo-okay, lahat may paraan,” said she.
Kurdi just returned after spending a much-needed vacation in Guam.
She admits that she learned of the development regarding the case she filed against Geisler, including the issuance of a warrant of arrest against the latter, only recently.
“Sa totoo, nagulat din ako pero masaya din ako na nagawan ng solusyon, nagkaroon na agad ng resulta ung fi-nile naming kaso and last year pa ‘yun. Ang tagal na nun,” she said.
Refuting allegations that she was prevented by her family to do more showbiz work after the incident with Geisler, Kurdi said she merely decided to lie low in her showbiz career to concentrate on her schoolwork.
“Studies muna,” she quipped.
She went on to assure fans that she is still pursuing her showbiz career.
“Nandito ako, nag-a-apear pa rin ako; kasi kung talagang [ayoko na], totally ‘di nyo na ako makikita for life,” she said.
It was in May last year that Kurdi filed the charges against Geisler.
The charge stemmed from what the actress claimed was “harassment” on Geisler’s part during the taping of “Suspetsa,” a GMA show they were then both working on.
Kurdi alleged that Geisler touched her in a “sexually suggestive and improper” manner.
The case was not a first for Geisler.
The daughter of showbiz couple Yayo Aguila and William Martinez had also filed charges of acts of lasciviousness against the actor.
Yasmien Kurdi will no longer sue Baron Geisler. She said that she doesn’t want to make a big deal out of the issue. She just reported it to the police in order for her to have security from Baron. She also responded that Baron has apologized through text.
Baron Geisler is a dramatic actor. He starred in the indie film entitled “Jay” which he won a Best Actor award. Baron has been in many controversies such as harrassing women and being an alcoholic.
